COACHING for MTT's by Dudeoflife

Who is the dude and why do I coach?

I played full time online mtt's since 08 starting with small stakes and working my way up to highstakes. I've published mtt videos on PokerSavvy and currently work for a poker fund selecting applicants and coaching highstakes players. I coach because I enjoy working with people and helping them improve their game. Here are my stats to show I'm legit.

Summary is 1.8 million in earnings and 400K profit.

TILT OPR

Stars OPR

How does coaching work?

I start with full HH reviews of a deep run/final table. These take me around 60 minutes for 340 hands on avg. and I take 2-4 pages of notes with summary of strengths/weaknesses. I

Then through skype call and teamviewer, we discuss these notes in detail and gives you a chance to ask questions/share your thought process about hands/general concepts. A lot of my notes involve bet sizing and discussing dynamics that occur deep in tournaments.

My rate is $90/hr. I've been coaching for over a year with all positive feedback. Whether you are just starting with mtt's or play fulltime, I guarantee you will find my lessons beneficial to you. I offer $ back guaranteed if you are not satisfied for any reason.

To schedule a lesson, reply to this thread with your skype or email and I will get in contact with you. I'm happy to answer any questions and look forward to working with you.

The dude abides.

I used to exchange HH with dudeforlife after we both made the top 5 in an FTOPS PLO event. He helped my game a lot. It worked well partly because we have complimentary styles. I am better at math and strategy and he is better at bluffing and reads.

He is really interested in and good at analysing HHs. He also is a consistent winning mid to high stakes MTT player.

Who I am:

• dudeoflife21 – PokerStars.
• Dudeoflife – FullTilt.

Credentials:

• Winning player over 10,000 tournament sample size on stars and tilt ranging from small to high-stakes (avg. buy in around $100.00) since 2008.
• Notable scores include: 1st place - Venetian 350 for $54,000, 4th place - Ftops 200 (1 reb 1 add-on) for $47,000, several $30,000 100 rebuy scores, 5th ftops 100 rebuy omaha $24,000,5th WCOOP PL 5 card draw $9,000.
• Hired to review hand histories for a reputable backer looking to add new players to stake. Successfully provide detailed analysis and recommendations.
• Played collegiate tennis and coached tennis for a number of years.

What you’ll learn from me:

• Everything you need to know to beat small and mid-stakes MTT’s. I’m confident I can turn any small to mid-stakes player (who’s willing to put the time in) into a winning player and increase the earning potential of already winning players. My life has consisted of playing poker 5 days a week for the past 3 years. When I’m not playing, I’m thinking about poker. I can teach the skills needed to be a long term winning player.
• MTT’s have changed a lot since I started playing them and I see a lot of mistakes when players try to imitate the super aggro online superstars. I can help you distinguish between solid aggressive plays and unnecessary plays that burn money.
• Understanding the importance of a strong mental game. So many people neglect this area and it costs them lots of money in the long run.
• Bankroll tips and tournament selection. Learn from my past mistakes and keep your poker career on track.
• Whatever you might feel is giving you problems we can tailor the lesson to focus on that area. ( what hands to r/c,r/f/fold/shove with different stack sizes, final table bubbles, short handed/heads up play, bet sizing, going for thin value vs bluff catching) The topics are endless to discuss.

How it will work:

• The initial session will start with you sending me a HH to review that you went deep in. This usually takes anywhere from 1:00 hrs - 1:30 hrs depending how many hands need a closer look at. I’ll send you the notes and give you a chance to look them over before going over the hands using skype/mikogo. After that we can do another analysis of your HH, go over my HH’s, do live sweats(if I’m not playing when you go far in a tourney) where we talk about hands afterward, or just talk about theory.

Why I want to coach?
• I’ve been passionate about poker my whole life. I was reading books about poker before Rounders came out(1998). The main reason I want to coach is because I truly feel that the knowledge I have about the game can help other players drastically improve their game.
• I taught tennis for many years and I enjoyed watching my students improve and fine tune their skills. I would enjoy greatly watching my students have success at poker and I believe after our 1st session you’ll see I have a lot to offer.

Please PM with any questions you might have for me. Thank you and I look forward to working with you.
