turn play 30$

hey
villian was very passive at the first blind level,fold a lot to cbets and i stab few flops when he limp, looks like he started to play more hands and be more active in general.
i dont have stats right know,but i think his pfr 65% limp 7%[i guess he could trap here AX]
like to know esp about turn play.

Re: turn play 30$

On a quick note: I think leading the turn can be a viable option vs described villain. Passive villain can def check back 9x here and even some Ax, which will usually call your donk bet. The drawback is that it sucks when we get raised because we don't really beat much, but the times we get extra value from 9x and some Ax on turn (and maybe river too) should make up for it imo.

Re: turn play 30$

lead flop.

turn u can lead or c/r. but i rather lead not only for reasons stated (he will checkback with some hands thats will call the lead), but also c/raising overreps it a lil when theres no super agro/leveling dynamic.

River betting is pointless.

It's limped pot.not much we get value of on river but...i expect villain to bet with all of his range on flop.if villain stabing flop with some hand with one dianond he probably fire turn when he improves his equity and definitely fire river once we check with some missed FD.I play 15 and 30 turbos and people in general call at this levels with such draws.plus he only limps 7% we are still quite deep and i dont expect villain have a ton of aces in his range.

Re: turn play 30$

In general, a value bet has to be called by worse hands enough of the time. If you can't come up with a range that he can call and pay you off, you're far better off check/deciding. On this hand, river looks like a clear fold to me.

In the same hand if we assume that we have an ace should we bet river or is too thin;
