I'm guessing because villain only has to be bluffing/have a worse hand ~25% of the time for it to be profitable.

I.e. if half your stack and half villain's stack are in and villain shoves, you have to call half your stack to win 3 x half your stack.

This is worst case I think and it works out to 25% of the time to break even. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

i understand that. it's more the blanket statement he's making about AA's absolute strength without giving any regard to the relative value it might have in certain situations.

Re: The Superturbos (aka "sejjeturbos") Discussion Thread

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $30(BB) Poker Stars
($515)
Hero ($485)

Dealt to Hero 9 K

Hero raises to $60, calls $30

FLOP ($120) 9 T 5

bets $60

So he has been leading almost all flops and I haven't raised these leads yet, I feel like I should raise here but I'm not sure if he's calling with any worse hands.

Re: The Superturbos (aka "sejjeturbos") Discussion Thread

If you are pretty sure he donks draws and middle pairs you can definitely do a relatively small raise for value (like 130-140). He will call with worse pair/kicker and draws. It really depends on your reads basically -> If he barrels a lot, you should probably call and let him spew. If he only donks flops and shut downs after, you should raise.

stars finally changed the rematch time from 30 seconds to 15.

still pisses me off the lag in the beggin of the sng, almost unbearable to write notes.

regular or normal turbo sngs are totally different, you can fold there, but in a hyper, you aren't even close to deep enough to be folding..if tou fold in that spot, I wouldn't mind playing you

Also, if you have 78 in that spot do you fold too? 78 and AA are pretty much the same hand because he's polarized since he's trying to represent A7

Can't see how he is trying to rep A7 there...

Im basing that on what was said in an earlier post..and his line suggests he is representing a 7 and if he is, it's better than 78

so you'd fold to the same bet in a turbo, but not a hyper? i'm not saying you're wrong in this hand, but i don't understand the reasoning behind never folding AA with half your stack in.

having 78 takes away half the combinations of 7x he can have, so no it's not the same hand.

his line is suggesting an extremely strong hand as you are saying, but i think a readless $1.5 player can easily play 33, 66, and 45 the same way. not just 7x.

I find that if I don't close the tourney lobby window (when the table pops up)but just minimize it I don't get the lag at the beginning. I dunno could just be a coincidence.

Re: The Superturbos (aka "sejjeturbos") Discussion Thread

what lag are we talking about here? I don't have lobies enabled, only get lag for a second after the first hand and after blind level goes up. never a problem with note taking though?
