Re: ng

Common consensus among the people who have the best chance of knowing (in my opinion, mind you) is something like 3% ROI in these is achievable.

Rake lowers by % as you move up, so it shouldn't be drastically different, plus a lot of people probably have no idea about them and do things like 3x or open fold 50%+, but I'm not positive.

When Spamz self ban is up, ask him. I'll ask Primo and h2olga to weigh in too, I think they play a lot of them.

don't play them at low stakes imo, it causes too much of a decrease in edge and also the rake is higher

I just started trying them out this week. After putting in over 400, I'll tell you they are nuts. People suck but there are so many flips that you get in. Your variance can be unbearable. I'll share a pic of my sharkscope pics to illustrate.

Another quick note. I am certainly sure they are beatable at $10's and higher but at really low ROI's so you need to grind a ton. And if you are prone to tilting at all, THEY WILL MAKE YOU TILT HARD

Also, you need a goddamn huge bankroll for these if you're not crushing, assuming I've done this correctly:

E: I did do it incorrectly. Never mind.

Re: superturbo HUsngs on ftp

dollar variance is not a problem because you're supposed to move down in stakes when you play those.
unless you have an unlimited bankroll or you'd like to go busto obv.

Super Turbo HU SnGs

What should the bankroll for these be? I built 50$ deposit into 1k from playing these. I'm still playing 20$ ones and the occasional 35$ one. Is 40-50 buyins the correct amount for these since they have pretty big variance?

Re: Super Turbo HU SnGs

I think it's hard to give out a "correct" bankroll answer because nobody really knows what kind of winrate to expect longterm.

I'd estimate you can get 2-3% ROI, so 40-50 should bring your risk of ruin near 0%. I didn't do any math though, so it might be off.

I'd use at least 100 for starters coz edges are pretty small and it takes a good endgame to profit with 2% rake. You should prob re-eval your results after 1-2k games, not sure how long it takes to get a glimpse of your true ROI

Be comfortable dropping 50BI. Don't assume you're a winner, check EV stats closely.

Re: Super Turbo HU SnGs

If you haven't had at least a 20 buyin if not 30 or more buyin downswing then you haven't played enough I'd keep at least 100 buyins around so you feel comfortable.

Re: Super Turbo HU SnGs

So should I not play them? I've had big downswings, losing 30BI but have been able to grind it back up. Would I be better off going back to playing 6max SnGs? I profit in those and it would be very hard for me to lose it all with proper brm.
