I actually agree with you, neither in Turbo nor normal speeds are there any good regs at this level (kinda includes you )

But still - beating the gigantic pacific rake against a reg, well thats something i dont need to have.

Re: Stalling HU players

just checked to be sure, rake is 5-6% on 50s and 4-5% on 100s, that's about the industry standard. also you do get some rakeback if you combine the excuse for the vip system and reload bonuses. not saying that beating regs for 4-6% pre rake is a piece of cake but definitely doable imo and you don't need to be h2olga to do it

Re: Stalling HU players

grunch.

Whenever I've complained to Stars they warned the other player and it stopped. But I should note that I do have a relationship with Stars support as I hound them mercilessly with every little infraction that they probably have one person dedicated for me, lol! I think if you write to them short but eloquently they will respond by warning the other player. If you turn a bit rude (as I've done in the past a few times) then they will ignore you. Treat them as human beings and explain the problem of timing down and they will resolve I believe.

In the long-term, all the sites need to come up with some plan to avoid this. I think the easiest is: give everyone a timebank of say 45 seconds, and each decision should be 10 seconds and then you are insta-folded. I don't even mind reducing that to 7-8 seconds. The quicker fish have to decide, the better it is for the reg anyways, better for the game. This will also force people to get better Internet connections.

Re: Stalling HU players

Does anyone see this as a viable tactic? I've had a few of these impatient types typing
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in the chat box when I'm playing a hand for example in a multi. If I think I can tilt the guy I will deliberately time down. I find it makes opponents play way too aggressive and sometimes calling me overly light. Waking up with AK min raising it and then shoving all in over the top of the 3 bet is a very common scenario.

I know my post above is not going to be popular with the regs but aren't you legitimately entitled to the time?

Yes, it is a viable tactic as things stand and you are technically entitled to the time. That said, it's bad form, pisses off regs, and is against the spirit of the game. It's generally going to be a poor choice if it forces you to deal with regs and gives you bad rep throughout the community (playing midstakes or above this can be a huge deal).

Cliffs: Technically you "can" be that guy...but don't be that guy.

Also from a purely strategic standpoint oftentimes the tilt factor won't make up for the amount of hands you miss out on by timing down.

Re: Stalling HU players

Yeah, I also contacted support when guy was constantly rivering me. They don't give a sht, can you imagine, what a shame for room!

They lose rake a lot, cause I'm having a bad mood after bad beats and skip many games.

To quote JSpazz on that matter "poker is not a supermarket."

I know its not a popular tactic with regulars for obvious reasons. But as they had their reasons to sit you then you are just as much entitled to use strategies that might help you win. Obviously they want you to play fast, maybe even multitable, but if thats not your thing and if you choose another path, hey its a free world. Dont care if you like it or not and unless its somewhere written that it is clearly forbidden i guess they have to deal with it!

And running to support and whining about it is one way, sometimes it works, mostly it doesnt.

And pretorian - i never stalled you, i actually sat and played you (and i think i´m still up against you )

Although i agree that some time banks are excessive like those on stars, the idea to increase the regs bottomline to make fish lose faster only would work if the sites would profit from it. Otherwise Pokersites couldnt care less about the regs bottomline. Actually they would be more happy to make you a breakeven sucker than a bigger winner - you deposit more, money stays longer in the poker economy and so on.

So yeah, nice idea, but dream on.

Creative methods to make them mad.

Chat is an option , however I do not seem to do it right , the stallin villain keeps stallin me no matter what I say.
