Sorry for some reason I actually just didn't see it, mods aren't allowed to have people on ignore so officially that's NOT why I missed RBJ's post. I do try to be fair as evidenced by me having coffee's back (I think?) recently in a forum issue against ITRIED.

Oh, and one more thing. Get involved in your local degenerate community! Have no connection with the mods and the forum old-timers? Start calling for someone you like to become a mod. Start stuff you want to see in the forum (I think "more strategy!" pushes have had mediocre success because they've been top down). There's a bit of a vacuum right now for the "I want to be the regular user who starts running random contests/post consistently good LC thread pics" roles or whatever it may be, point being, there's a lot of room to make this forum whatever the hell you want it to be.

I'm not sure how comparable we are to other games (for example STT, Hu cash don't split by stakes, MTT, NL cash, LHE cash do), probably somewhere in between those that split and those that do not in terms of popularity.

I'm not so sure this would help us myself, but if everybody wants something we can work together and come up with a logical plan and present that to the admins and go from there.

Beginner's HUSNG versus "Other" (would need a better name obviously) might be preferable to HS, MS, LS for our forum, but I'm a bit partial to the single forum unless traffic increases.

If it's too crowded we can just start banning people until we have some elbow room too.

I've always hated megaupload and now it seems less surprising that their ads were riddled with viruses and interface screamed of a cheap pawn shop.

In any case, you can upload with youtube now and directly embed your videos into the forum for feedback.

If you want to send a file privately, you can send it via wetransfer.com.

We probably still need a good file site listed for files reaching a mass audience, however, I suspect that software creators and HUD creators know where to upload their files already.

Any issues with allowing some of the less focused and general threads to remain open lately?

Nobody has been complaining about them, people are responding at very rapid rates to these general questions, users are being helped and trolling/flaming seems to be rather minimal in these threads.

I've been leaving them open because of the above, as have the other mods here. Let us know if you want to see that changed.

I was going to redo the sticky thread, but I just reread it and even though it is over 18 months old it looks quite sharp still.

The one thing it could use is some more links to good threads in this forum, so feel free to post links to good heads up sng threads or voice what you want to see in the FAQ and I'll add it (including previously mentioned links in this thread.)

What are good stats?
Stats really aren't that important and generally cannot tell you if you are doing something wrong in a HU SNG (mainly due to changing blindlevels/stack depths and reads being more relevant in general), this is very different from 6max or FR so keep it in mind, stat and/or hud posts and questions should generally be put in the beginner's questions thread.

^ Edit ^ Thought out posts about stats can be relevant, particularly with advances in the statistical tracking area of poker, however, always make sure that any posts about stats have a purpose and a relevant sample (usually thousands of games). Always avoid "are these stats good?" type posts or "what am I doing wrong? Here are my stats" as they are almost always too general to be helpful.

If somebody wants to reword that, have at it.
