Movie Char - Round 1 - William Wallace vs Jack Sparrow
Ok, HU SNG Movie Character Draft... Round 1 matches. This ISN'T who would win in a fight or anything, it's just kind of who you think is more cool/awesome/badass/your favorite/etc. , write ups below, thanks for helping out by voting
William Wallace (Braveheart)
William Wallace was a commoner living in scotland going about his life under english tyrrany like every other scotsman until the day of his wedding, when the local lord showed up to have his privledge as a lord... the ability to rape wallace's wife. Wallace suddenly drew a line and said enough is a @)$ing nough, and decided it's time for scotland to get the freedom they deserve. He spends the rest of his months pillaging and ambushing the english at every turn. He becomes the whisper on every scotsmans lips and the nightmare in every english lords dreams.
He does it partly for his love of the girl, and partly for the love of his country, but he is epic until the end, he gives everything he has for his country and believes in that above all else, enough that he is willing to put all of his trust and faith in those who might help his cause, which in the end is his downfall but he knows it is his only chance to give his country what it deserves and you respect the !@)*$& out of him for it.
If you watched this movie and didn't come away thinking William Wallace was a TOTAL Boss and embodied pretty much every awesome quality someone in that era could embody, then you should be ashamed of yourself... and I hope your country never needs a revolutionary like Scotland did.
Wallace, not even known by his own troops convinces them to stay and fight
Wallace Defiant to the end... chooses to not take a painless death for one last chance to inspire
Battle of Stirling
Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean)
"Gentlemen, m'lady; you will always remember this as the day that you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow!" ―Jack Sparrow
Jack Sparrow was a legendary pirate of the Seven Seas, and the irreverent trickster of the Caribbean.
A captain of equally dubious morality and sobriety, a master of self-promotion and self-interest,
Jack fought a constant and losing battle with his own best tendencies.
Jack's first love was the sea, his second his beloved ship, the Black Pearl.
Over the course of time, Jack became the stuff of legend and many tales were told of his exploits, with most of these tales however were fabrications concocted by Sparrow to bolster his reputation.
Re: Movie Char - Round 1 - William Wallace vs Jack Sparrow
2 huge characters!
Braveheart was an awesome film and in my top 5 for sure. However the film was loose on facts throughout and could have been made shorter imo. Having said that, throw history out the window and it's an unbelievable film. It truly had everything that makes a film great. For an American to take on that part was a big risk and Mel didn't want to do it at first but I'm so glad he did now because he done an A+ job here and his best movie imo.
He showed so much as a character, he was caring, peaceful, loyal, aggressive, motivational and inspiring. You can't help but get pumped at watching this.
J.Depp, just wow. His work more often than not is A+. Jack Sparrow is unreal to watch and is amazing however i don't think you can compare him to William Wallace. Jack Sparrow is a huge character but he looks limited compared to William Wallace. FREEEEEEEDOM wins my vote!
