It's the principle that people like this need to be severely punished/taught a lesson. Not saying it wouldn't be risky, but with proper planning it could be done with minimal risk.

Spoke to this guy a bit on skype, in the space of a few hours he went from wanting to live in spain to wanting to live in mexico to wanting brazil then argentina. Strange character.

You don't need to beat the **** out of him to pay, just scare him..

you wont get your money (most likely) but i can see why this might feel even better than getting your dough back.
also you wont risk a criminal record/jailtime if you do it right.
not trying to enforce this behavior by the way.

Yeah, I was absolutely impressed/shocked at how many players he had managed to add on his skype/facebook and all the deals he was trying to get involved with... Poker player relocating, money transfers, staking, setting up VPNs, video site memberships, website creating, etc.

Which is why it is absolutely vital to spread the word about his shadiness, I know a few people who were extremely close to sending him funds on the basis of his "connections".

As for ways of solving this for Ajay, obviously I doubt violence is a solution. I think the first step is making this thread grow and figuring out the extent of his shady activities. Then probably contacting his family and friends via social networks, in a civilized fashion, and see where that goes. From what I understand there is a lot of money in the family.

Maxi Stochyk should probably feel the need to work something out at some point, given the amount of private information that he has given out (I'm not even speaking of what his ex flatmates can put together, more what he has helpfully posted on his Facebook wall). I've personally compiled a list of FB profiles of 150 contacts of his, including quite a few Stochyks. And that's only part of what we've got and shall be using in the near future if he doesn't come to his senses.

^^People say how poker is dog eat dog etc, and morals don't exist, but we always see the best of the community after a scam.

Always nice to know that even if I or anyone else screw up and misplace my trust, the community at large is willing to help, which isn't even true for irl crime. We as a community have pretty much made the EV of scamming worse than the EV of being honest (long term obv), or as close as possible for anyone, and tbh this is as much as we can do.

It's not all doom and gloom guys, and staking is still gonna happen and run smoothly the majority of the time.

I have been frequent to the Travel thread...this guy was posting like a maniac about starting poker houses all over the world, annoyed the **** outta me. I was really surprised seeing ppl adding him to skype one after another. Hope u get the money back tho

Really stupid from him...

With all his infos available, it could cost him much more than 5K... Basically all his friends to know him as a thief, info can be sent to all his future boss (as it's pretty clear he can't live of poker), etc...

I say we leave him like one week to pay and then we **** him up in every possible ways.

They will simply google his name before giving him a job and this thread will show up as #1 result.
