I dont take the " oh you are dealt in the hands so its ok" arguement. People should have to pay attention to players tendencies.
Having all these % in front of them, and fold % just basically tells them and does all the work for them and it IMPLIES what to do
in certain situations. Especially in mtts like, you can 8 table and your eyes could be off a table and you can be getting #s on people
then 4 hrs later or whatever you can know their cbet/fold % and such. That kind of thing is an insult to the game.
Same thing for hu sngs. RObotic play, even these charts just totallly takes all the skill out of the game thats why im so against it.
I guarantee the top 5 of the super turbo hu people ever have a chance in live poker scene. I believe peopl who study charts and HUD #s
to be good at studying computers/#s.. but NOT good poker players

You should be calling Q2s because it's more profitable then folding to his shove, it's that simple.
Playing using that chart is actually impossible to "outplay" when playing pushfold--at 7bb villain is guranteed to be profiting ~2bb/100, and when his villain (ie you) deviate from the correct calling range he just profits more than that. What you do in SB is immaterial to the discussion fwiw, you're still losing money OOP doing so.

Regardless though I am quite impressed with your answers since you were pretty spot on, you got a (tiny) bit of respect back from me despite your silliness quoted above

Coffee are u saying at 7bb Nash is unemploitable? I've played ppl before that nit up so ridic much at 7bb and less that I just fold marginal hands even like as far as Q8s for example to their jams. Knowing you can shove pritty much 90% of ur range the next 3/4 hands and they are folding every button why would u call with Q2?

while nothing would give me as much pleasure as disagreeing with Mark as much as possible, I have to partly disagree with Coffee in this case. A play that is +EV is not always optimal, so on some occasions calling Q2s can be incorrect even on the rare occasion that you are certain they are shoving exactly a range that would make it +EV.

that being said using the word outplay is ridiculous so I still disagree w Mark

The example has villain playing push/fold according to the Nash chart so calling is actually is optimal to the full extent of the word.

Sure we could argue that if villain folds 100% of buttons that perhaps folding because we have solid EV IP is better, but 7bb deep vs an ABC player that is fairly solid and likely will call open shoves with something similar to Nash folding and Nash calls is certainly a mistake and not optimal.
