This is a spot where I leak alot of money so I got help from a very good friend to look through some hands. I always tell myself not to check-call the river because the NEVER* bluff the it, but still I level myself into calling so often (* maybe 10%).

When we analyze the hands it makes so much sense but ingame it doesnt. I think I have a leak of getting bluffed so I check-call just to show villain how unlucky I am?

-56734, I don't see villian turning any hand into a bluff there. I never see bluffs here. Your Scottish friend is right, x/f river.
Really, 98 is the only hand he could have, or 8x type hands.

-6J995, that river-bet looks strong, 9x a lot. But then there are enough bluffs in range that I think we can call that betsize with 6x there. We're not happy but I I expect Jx to bet that flop after getting 3bet.

Totally agreee with the QQ hand, leveld myself so hard by the check on turn. happens so often against fish.

The second hand was more marginall. So weird that he didnt raise, again level. I might make to many assumtions of population tendencies..

Watching this video, I kinda got the feeling that from a certain point on you would just blindly agree with whatever your friend is telling you. He might be right, with what action he recommended, but then again, knowing what to do while not knowing why to do it, is not what you need right now. In the beginng you need to learn why and not what to do, otherwise print a chart out and go play with it. Big part of this process is to put opponents on correct ranges. Of course this will require lots of work, require plenty of expierence and so on and so forth, but, it will be totally worth it!

Also you are talking bit too much about if villain is a fish or not, but there seems to come no extra value from the definition, they way you use it. Is he a fish that bluffs too much? Is he fish that open raise 5BB with AA and 2BB with T7o? What is the information worth? That he is a fish is no valueable information by itself. If he sees shoveing the river as weakness and will call you wider then when you bet half pot that is what you want to know.

To the second hand:
The board being 69J you put him on a couple of straight draws. On the river the 5 comes which completes the 87 OESD and it seems like you do not even consider this hand as a possibility.

Makeing this videos and asking for input is a good idea and nice work overall, but eventually you will have to do active other than passive work. Did you ever calculate how often he needs to bluff so that you have the equity to call with 86 on this river? Once you do this you can discuss it in this thread as well and you will receive plenty of input regarding if it is likely that you have this equity because player X puts him on this range and player Y on this range etc. pp

Posteing those 2 hands in text format and shareing your toughts about it with the people you asked for help might have been (but ofc I cannot guarantee you this) much more valueable then receiving replay to this 14 minutes video, ALSO, because the result would had been hidden.

indeed I agreed alot with my friend and that was because I wanted to hear his opinion and thought process since I obviously had a leak in mine.

I think that you might get more out from a video then a thread since you can talk through the thought process more in detail and at the same time solve alot more similar situations.

For example if my friend would have answerd these hands in text I wouldnt have learnt as much as I did live. Agree?

Thanks for pointing it out, I really need to work more on my math and ranges, and also how to analyze diferrent information given by villain.
