I´d like to do the research on my own but i have no idea where to start.
Right now i´m at a point where i move from whatever meat i can get to white meat, because its supposed to be healthy and one day i might go vegan if i find some decent prove of it being healthier.
And it would have to be one where every other factor is the same. You cant compare a vegan sportsfanatic to some overweight couchpotatoe, because it´s obv the fat guy will have a ton of health problems not connected to specifically meat.
wow there´s no autocorrect on this computer and i feel like half the words look weird.hopefully people can still understand what i´m trying to say.

Re: HUSNG Official fitness, diet and healthy being thread
Studies are way off because most people who eat meat, tend to not care about diet and eat crap all the time. Also depends what type of meat do you eat,how much do you eat, which cut,if its organic or not. Eating some tenderloin isn't the same **** to eating ribs.
I've actually remember seeing the one study about stuff that i thought was relevant. It was a study, from Harvard i think, with a big sample on the impact of exercise on diseases. Don't really remember where, but it was something about living 23h30min days, leaving 30mins for exercise each day. The improvements were huge. 50% less LDL,50% less cases of diabetes etc, even in people who were obese. Other benefits were considerable less heart diseases/depression/increased life expectancy and so on. Point is exercise is more important than diet,as long as you don't eat lots of junk food.

De_Evolution: I'm currently really lean, at 11% BF and i'm doing Intermittent Fasting (@Hokie: that's how i broke through the plateau i had at about 15%, started intermittent fasting and really hard weight training)
Still don't think i will take creatine, but i will give it a try with whey protein and see how it goes. Thing is i dont really trust food which comes as powder, i'd rather EAT more vegetables and meat than that... but it's seems i'm stuck and will try it.
@miniwiz: good piece of advice, i will take it into consideration if i decide to take creatine...
my usual cookie post workout is a waffle with sugar on it (Delhaize is the brand) or some random good looking creamy cookie from a local cookie shop they do have fat, but they also have so much sugar that i'm pretty sure im getting my insulin spike from them

What i meant is lets say you are overweight and not an active person, you'd gain more health benefits from working out than changing your diet,if your diet isn't made out of domino's and chips.
The point being that if you want to change something, start by working out.Yeah obv the better thing would be to change both, but if you start working out you'll change your diet for the best eventually. But if you just change your diet, chances are you'll fail at it eventually because you clearly don't look at dieting the right way if you don't also do some type of exercise. And the benefits are bigger by working out.

my dad started doing SS with me, he's 57 y/o, after 2 years he continually made some pretty good gains, and he's eating on a small surplus
he had never worked out before, started small

Re: HUSNG Official fitness, diet and healthy being thread
@deepak: I can't convince my father to do it, although he was working out until his 30s and felt awesome.
He now says he can't do it because of back pain, and i keep telling him he HAS the back pain because he hasn't done any workouts.
Anyways, for people who are hardgainers, programs like Stronglifts or Starting Strength are the way to go.

just make him start doing warmup rountines, or rlly low weight and see how he feels
my dad also liked that when we started doing SS we recorded the lifts for feedback (obv teribad form from us both)

Re: HUSNG Official fitness, diet and healthy being thread
****arounditis
The statistics all point towards the same conclusion: we have a global outbreak of ****arounditis.
"****arounditis is a behavioral disorder characterized by a mediocre physique and complete lack of progress, despite significant amounts of time spent in the gym."
"****arounditis most commonly manifests itself as an intense preoccupation with crunches, curls, cable movements, belts, gloves, balance boards, Swiss Balls and Tyler Durden. Fear of squats and deadlifts is another distinguishing trait. Physical exertion is either completely lacking or misapplied (towards questionable or unproductive training practices)."
