Standard Membership
The standard membership library continues to grow, and is now over 175 instructional videos for heads up sng players to take advantage of. The cost of the membership is $25 per month or $60 for 3 months and it allows users to access to all these videos with no strings attached (no recurring membership, no additional fees, no limitations, no DRM).
Some recent videos that have proven extremely popular to members are mjw006's beating the mid stakes series (parts
1,
2,
3a and
3b are all available to standard members). A longer and more in depth
super turbo strategy guide by Cog Disonance, RyPac13's Aggressive Leakfinder Series (parts
1,
2,
3 and
4 ) as well as recent leakfinders by
Fydor_8 and
ITRIED2WARNU have been popular among standard members. Mersenneary also made
part 1 of his statistical analysis series available to standard members.
We've also made it even easier to figure out what to watch, both for new members and those looking for specific content. Our
video planning guide is a work in progress, but should already be effective for low and mid stakes players.
Look for specific concept oriented videos available to standard members in January and beyond.
Premium Membership
Our premium content continues to grow and improve.
Mersenneary had a
100k month with an average stake of $300. His
recent videos have continued to receive rave reviews.
Look for parts 2 and 3 of his Statistical Analysis series (HEM/PT database discussion designed to help players get the most out of their data) in January, only available to premium members.
ITRIED2WARNU finished his Reg Wars series, which has gone over very well. It contains matches exclusively played against tougher opponents, "regulars." Videos against
shortsharpshock,
haiducf,
rotarysb,
irontamer and sthoro are featured, along with another 4+ matches against other winning regulars.
HokieGreg has been busy making videos this last week. Look for at least 5 videos from him in January, mostly available to premium members.
xSCWx has also been making premium content lately, mostly at the $500+ levels. He recently made a
video against Jungleman12.
Skates made his final live play video,
a high stakes heads up cash video where he ran $10,000 up to $50,000 in one single session. Play takes place at the $100-200 and $200-400 cash levels.
Look for at least one new higher stakes contributor to the premium section of the site in January.
Community
The community on HUSNG has been growing steadily and at a more rapid pace in recent months. Forum participation is up as is blogging. All members receive access to the member forums, where they can post hand histories and discuss strategy with coaches. With over 1500 hand review forum posts and 2800 general strategy posts, the forum is a helpful and efficient place to visit. Many of our members and coaches find the time to post both on this great forum as well as the HUSNG forums.
Blogs
Blog activity is up and will continue to happen regularly.
In the last three weeks there have been blog posts by regular mid to high stakes players such as ITRIED2WARNU (2 blogs), Brilliant27, Barewire, FrankThomas8, BCM11, Fydor_8, Cog Dissonance, Ricestud (4 blogs), Mersenneary, mjw006 (3 blogs) and jaws washington/joe pulaski (11 blogs).
Our blog list can be found
here and we'll do our best to help encourage an environment where regular heads up sng players tell you what is going on in their world. Blogs are free to start for members and non members.
Other Topics of Interest
We successfully ran a
low buyin entry heads up tournament on PokerStars recently. It was open to both members and non members, and we also added $100 to the prize pool. Over 40 players participated and extra prizes were available to members and qualifying non members. The structure was a 40bb structure, exclusive to our tournament and it made for an exciting tournament, with plenty of game play and skillful demonstrations. It was also reasonably time efficient, as it finished in just under 70 minutes. Look for another tournament in January, similar to this one and open to anybody that wishes to play.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to
send us a suggestion. As a specialty site, we have the advantage of being able to work very closely with many entities and reaching players with a relatively personal experience. Your emails are usually received and replied to by site owners, your posts and suggestions usually answered and discussed publicly by coaches, so take advantage of this if you would like.

Once you go through the entire library of heads-up poker videos you’ll have enough knowledge to beat anyone you want. I’ve been a successful medium limit heads-up player for a while now and the videos provided by the coaches at HUSNG have helped me increase my bottom line.....Downloading the videos to your computer is painless.....The majority of the videos are flawless and have prefect audio and video. You can sort through the videos several ways.....The forums are also a huge perk.....HUSNG is definitely worth it’s weight in gold if you’re already playing heads-up sit and go tournaments seriously and want to really work on improving your game. You can easily get away with the standard membership initially at $25/month until you move up to the $55+ buy-ins, at which point you’ll want to purchase the premium membership.
