Also, (credit to Hundrye for pointing this out), there are different ways to find the median hand.
1) The "computer hand" original way: a hand that has as many better and worse hands against this specific hand HU. Q7o fits this creteria.
2) Ranking of all hands based on equity against a random hand, pick the middle one.
With the 2nd method, J6s is the median hand as he posted earlier. The 2nd method would seem like a better metric to define the real computer hand, because the first method could potentially define other "computer hands".
Why Hundrye even knows the answer to this, I don't even wanna know.

I went through some stretches where I faced like 1 fish per hour, and I fist-pump and say: 'yeah baby, finally a fish!' Then if the fish sucks out on me or runs in godmode, that really sux!
They used to say it's more important to beat fish than regs. Now, in husng's, mid-higher stakes esp., reality may be that it's more important to beat weakish regs than fish...and in the future, maybe that turns to regs. Not sure where this is going but I am def. seeing less and less fish, and very rarely pure clueless fish anymore.
You are just as likely to get dealt 23o as you are Q7o. DUCY?
Q7o is the median of all starting hands. This means there are just as many better hands than worse hands that you could of been dealt when you get Q7o.
sauce:
Spoiler:
Essentially to answer the question, it is the average hand in a study of HEADS-UP hands
ie 84 hands are worse when heads up against Q7o
and 84 hands are better when heads up against Q7o
Hope that helps,
Welly

No **** exactly what I was saying. The term average has a few meanings in context.
@yaqh Equity against a random hand leaves no room for other potential "computer hands.", unlike the first method. For example, J7s might also have exactly 84 better and worse hands (no clue if this is true), thus this metric doesn't seem like the best way to define a computer hand.
@ITRIED2WARNU your wording is very poor and could suggest Q7o being the hand you get dealt the most often.
I'd like the propose a cure I've personally tested out and have had success with.
Gradually increase your water intake for 2-3 weeks. You should also be adjusting and intaking more salt on average.
A while ago, I developped asthma and absolutely needed inhalers to come anywhere near breathing properly. This happened around the time FTP took my liferoll and was easily the worst few months in my life. Hating the idea of having to take inhalers forever, I seeked out natural medicine to cure my asthma.
After a while, I got a hold of a great book called "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" [http://www.amazon.com/Your-Bodys-Man...416744&sr=8-1] and one of the chapters was about asthma. The science: when your body is dehydrated, it adapts by exhaling less water. This causes your respiratory tract to become drier and thus more easily irritated. Your body then further compensates by increasing mucus production to help lubrify your respiratory tract. This excess mucus production is what causes the wheezing, coughing and difficulty in breathing for asthmatics. By increasing your water intake, exhalation comes back to normal and the respiratory tract functions as it should.
If any of you asthmatics can also try this and also confirm/deny if this has worked for you, that would be great. It def. helped me get rid of this uselessly widespread epidemic. I would try and aim for 4L of water a day. That's a little over a gallon and it isn't as hard as it sounds.
quick question. Is it still the assumption the hu hyper winrates for the low stakes is around 3-5% ???

Hey Leedslad, where about in Leeds are you from? Im also from Leeds.
Just started grinding low stakes hypers myself in the last week. Only got a 400 game sample so way off a realistic roi. I reckon 3% would be reasonable though.
My ex (technically my ex-wife -> foolish Uni romance!) has asthma, I'll see if she wants to test this out. But one asterisk is: 4L, though not as much as it seems, is still a lot. Too much water intake is not good for you. Have you looked into this? If not, I certainly would research what are the upper limits of water intake for the avg. human.
i have to imagine that if a very common disease like asthma had a simple solution like 'drink more water' by as simple a mechanism as 'if you dont drink enough water your lungs dry out', we'd probably know it already. that 'natural medicine' stuff sounds like bs to me.
@bunza, it actually depends on how much you weigh. Also keep in mind that this is 4L spread out during the day. That's about a liter for every 4 hours or one 8oz glass every hour. 2.5-3L is probably fine for your ex. The main point is that your urine should be almost colorless throughout the day. This is the best indicator of how well you keep yourself hydrated.
Some bigger people (bodybuilders) drink up to 7-8 liters a day. You need to truly exaggerate your water intake and not intake enough sodium for it to be dangerous imo.

Many diseases have natural cures that are not mainstream because this would affect the bottom line of major pharmaceuticals. It pays more to treat symptoms over a number of years than it does to treat the root cause immediately. This is the main problem with medicine, the emphasis is on treating symptoms rather than achieving real health.
Did you know the FDA lets companies tell you there's 0g of trans fats per serving if there's less than 0.5g? Savvy companies adjust their serving size to be able to show "Trans Fats: 0g". Definitely don't believe the FDA has your interests at heart.
@u cnat spel: 8oz/hr. seems reasonable. Yeah, she's petite so 2.5L prob. is good enough for her. I'll suggest it to her. I drink lots of water per day too, don't have asthma, it's for health benefits, and what u say is spot on: urine should be almost colourless. This has such great benefits for the body, so even non-asthma folks should drink lots of water (just not too much). Also, I heard that moist air (like after you take a shower), humidifying, is really good for the lungs also. If you haven't already, maybe invest in a good humidifier.
Na your piss won't be clear just because you're drinking water. There's tons of stuff that will make it go colored. Like the water can flush toxins out of muscles and it will be colored because of that, for example.
Also diet is a key aspect of your overall health obv so if you're not well hydrated your muscles and respiratory systems will suffer. So improving your diet will have a knock on effect. I don't think increasing your water intake will necessarily "cure" Asthma but certainly reduce the symptoms and the likelihood that you will have an attack or get wheezy or whatever. It's varies greatly from case to case though.
So it seems pretty common sense to me that improving your diet will have a positive impact.
If your asthma came about because of stress then it might no be particularly bad. Like developing it in your 20's makes me think it might be more of a short term thing induced by that stress. So the impact of the increased water intake/general sense of well being might've been enough to sort yours out whereas for other people it won't have any affect at all.

Every time I see someone I consider even moderately intelligent spout crap like this a little part of me dies inside. To see it from a winning poker player who presumably would have a much better ability than most to understand terms like "sample size", "regression to the mean" and "confirmation bias" is even more depressing than usual.
