Well, I had a similar decision to make in October: whether I keep playing poker for a living or take a real-life job. I decided to take that job - not because of the money, but because I really liked it, it came with a social life and I can actually do what I've learned and prepared myself my whole life, and it also has a future.
However, if only one of the options that I have to choose between is making me some decent money ... don't know, I'd probably take the money even if it wasn't the smartest thing to do.

Sometimes you get extremely lucky.
I just played 50+ games against that same huge fish single-tabling, but was unable to get another table going for more than just a few games or even just sit at $300.

Maybe it's just because it's not only in the middle of the week, but also this short after the holidays. Average non-full-time regs are just done mass-grinding to reach their milestone and take a break, fish lost all their money and need to wait till their next paycheck maybe ... ?
I was planning to play some $300's, but it seems like that has to wait till there's more action.
