Some random thoughts:
1. The regs are a bunch of whiny bastards. No, I don't know who you are and I don't use sharkscope so I won't avoid sitting against you. However, ask me civilly and politely not to play you and I will respect that.
2. Having said that, many of the regs at 115 are super solid and really should step up at least to 220 and probably higher. They must be life nits to play so low when they are clearly talented enough to play way higher.
3. The big difference in the play is the fish. The bad players at 500+ are not all that bad, but the bad players at 115 are truly woeful. With good game selection I reckon a good player could easily expect a ROI of 20%, which obv is about the same as a 5% ROI at 500 with far less variance. Food for thought here.
4. Not nearly so many railbirds so play is relatively peaceful and much speedier.

You gotta include rakeback. 0% ROI at $570 is at least $8/game more like $12/game if you go for SNE.
20% ROI at $115 is something like $23/game, so like a 2.5% ROI at $570.
But yea, I had a similar experience to you that the play at $115 is pretty atrocious compared to higher. I'd disagree though that the regs are super solid. Some might be. Maybe just none would sit with me
