Heads Up League - PStars Home Game

I've just created a home game club on Poker Stars, it is just a bit of fun really but it is a heads up league open to all.

Join up and I will arrange fixtures between all players, playing each other twice throughout the season (season length depends on the number of players). Three points for a win, zero for a loss. The winner will be who has the most points at the end of the season.

Buy ins will be just $1+0.10 - the idea is to get as many people involved as possible. Higher buy ins can be arranged though.

If popular, divisions can be created with promotion/relagation and cup style knockout competitions are possible too.

Join up:

Club ID: 14138
Invitation Code: heads up league

You'd have better luck on another forum, most of us play HUsgs for hours a day and noone wants to play a league with randoms for play money (or practically play money)

Meh I am interested and will join. Even though a lot of us play higher I think we can get enough interest for a fun little league.

Sounds pretty cool.

Can anybody create games?

Saw another club just started that gave all members power to create games.

Think that would make it better.

sounds like fun but would be way more inclined to join if buy in would be a bit higher

Yeah it would be nice but even the weekly tournies that Palinca run sometimes only get like 10 people.

Re: Heads Up League - PStars Home Game

why 3 points for a win rather than 1? Isn't it usually 3 points for a win if you can tie, which then is 1 point, but there are no ties in HUSNGS...

Re: Heads Up League - PStars Home Game

Thanks for all the responses so far, there are 14 members and counting... I'll give weekend players the chance to join and start looking at arranging fixtures as early as next week.

I have noticed that when a game is organised, all club members are invited to join. This is all very well if we want a shootout style tournament but could be problematic when it comes to individual fixtures. My initial thought would be to make the name of each tournament the actual fixture and would ask that only those named enter that particular game.

These are fair comments. Initially I wanted to get people involved and a micro buy in seemed to be the way forward. However if a bunch of people wanted to compete in a higher, more elite league, then this is also possible.

You are quite right, I was considering having each fixture as a two-leg game, there would then be potential for a 1-1 draw and therefore 1 point. This would effectively double the buy in, which at $1 per game, probably won't be an issue, but if some of you want increased buy ins then it needs to be a consideration.

Yeah I am all for this, as a matter of course you have this. If for whatever reason you don't want this facility then you can opt out, it could be really convenient when you want to arrange your own fixtures. This could be especially true when arranging a US v Euro fixture with time differences.

If anyone has ideas about anything relating to this then either post in this thread or pm me. I am open to most suggestions.
