Hey

I've been thinking about making a poker career with HUSNG turbos/regs. However, I'm not sure, when should I quit my daily job.
Has anyone been in the same situation? How many hours a day did you spend to study/play poker? Especially after a 8hour working day?
And when did you become confident enough to quit your job?

Thanks in advance!

Well OP, i have just started working 8-9 hours a day, and i have to say to keep motivated to play after work is quite challenging, especially if the first couple of games doesn't go that well.

My advice for you is to start feeling comfortable at a stake where your hourly is worthwhile for you and have a feel for the swings and level of play. Start doing this in the weekends and then start mixing in weekdays.

Furthermore it also depends on the intensity of your day job ofc. If you are a trader if might be more challenging than lets say a babysitter

get to stake you want/can make decent living, get money for ~6-12 months (imo) and than you can quit.
Also dont quit too early like if you live in some easter European country you can make decent living playing 30s hypers, but first try to move as high as you can, later moving up will be much harder

Thanks for your thoughtful replies.
I have a kinda brainer-job, so I guess it's not reasonable to play poker after work..?

Just try it out. And make sure to plan what to do in these hours. Make a distinction between grinding and learning/moving up. I would recommend play 1 hour in the weekdays and 4/5 hours learn/try to move up in the weekends
