Re: **** Beginner's and Low Content Questions Thread****

Another noob questions.

I want to split my BR in two and play HUSNG on a different room than Stars. Stars I only use to play SH. Now I'm thinking to open a account on a Ipoker room. Rake is quite low but how is traffic on the micros? Or are there other rooms besides Stars to play?

When is it time to take a account on Sharkscope? On the micros I think this doesn't make any difference as there are only a few regs that play micros...

Is there any particular reason why you wish not to play HU on stars? Both, Pokerstars and iPoker, do have top heavy VIP rewards (rakeback) system. Splitting means that you probably will not get the best out of it at both sites.

Re: **** Beginner's and Low Content Questions Thread****

The idea was that I splitted my roll in a part for HU and a part for SH. But maybe I should completely focus on HU for the moment and stick with Stars. Start with the $3,50s and go from there on.

For study I have subscibe to the newbies course (bestpokercoaching.com). This contains some videos that are taken from HUSNG.com. Watching "thinking like a winner" by Waldie191 now. Learned a lot already by only watching episode 1 till 3 once. Think that this course must get me out of the micros.

Also reading this tread but 238 pages...........is a lot.

If you can spend 25$ get a HUSNG.com standard membership. 350+ videos should be enough to start with. ;-)
They also have free videos: http://www.husng.com/content/free-heads-up-poker-videos

Is this too spewy on my behalf? Or can we generally assume that players on 1.5$ will do this with a range that is wide enough for this to be +ev? It's the third hand, no reads.

PokerStars - $1.40+$0.10|10/20 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

SB: 1,560.00
Hero (BB): 1,440.00

SB posts SB 10.00, Hero posts BB 20.00

Pre Flop: (30.00) Hero has T T

SB raises to 60.00, Hero raises to 180.00, SB raises to 1,560.00 and is all-in, Hero calls 1,260.00 and is all-in

Yeah super standard, I'd be getting it in with something like 88+ and AQ+ in these games for sure.

Re: **** Beginner's and Low Content Questions Thread****

hey guys, i've been playing on ipoker since the start of my husng journey and everthing was fine until i reached 20s - now traffic is awful, yesterday i spent whole day in the lobby and played like 20 games, today im sick after 1.5 hour and only 3 games. cant stay 'in the zone' becaus of this.

where can i go where rake is not terrible and trafic is better? sure some of you will insta reply with 'stars' and i'd love to play there but 60% rakeback is really helping me moving forward right now and i dont want to sacrifice this just for traffic. any advice?

sorry but stars ainec vs anything else (I tried party and 888 (not husng though) and both are crap)

I think if you have to rely on rakeback then your game probably needs more work. Personally I would look to the long term - do you see yourself still playing on ipoker in 12 months?

As another option maybe you can have 2 clients running at once?

what ainec stands for? sure software-wise its stars >>>>>>>>>>>>>> any other room right now.

i dont feel like its neseccery for me to have rb to gain money from playing poker right now but its just more money compare to less money, its a boost to my roll every week, i can move up much faster.

in general my plan is to move to stars when i'll be on 50s, then i guess i'll be able to make decent vip level in less than half a year but now its more EV+ to play on eurosites w/rb.

trying boss media right now, rake is 5% so it cant be that bad, any thoughts on structure on turbos?

and yes, im going to run two clients at once

I think, even with RB, you pay less rake on PS. Am I wrong?

It was released six month ago, so I doubt it's outdated already.

its like 4.smth % rake on stars and 5% on euro rooms that i play now. so i dunno, lets assume i'll be able to get 20% after playing there for what? 1month? 2 months? and it will be ~3,4% rake on stars vs. 2% rake on ipoker (after rakeback) and still we have to keep in mind that for this month or two i would loose less on ipoker/boss

I want to play on stars really bad - the traffic, the softwere, everything is smooth and you know - it's stars. but common sense is telling me its better to grind few levels more on euro sites unless im wrong somewhere
