50$ shove flop?

No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t25.00/t50.00 Blinds - 2 players -

Hero (BTN/SB): t1040.00 20.80 BBs
BB: t1960.00 39.20 BBs

Pre Flop: (t75) Hero is BTN/SB with 8 7
Hero raises to t100, BB calls t50

Flop: (t200) 7 3 9 (2 players)
BB bets t200.00, Hero calls t200

Turn: (t600) K (2 players)
BB bets t1660.00, Hero ?

I thought i would just call here and call a ship on the turn on safe cards, but definatly this is far from such card. But i am not sure how to play this..would you ship this on the flop?

Re: 50$ shove flop?

i'd call flop and fold turn, think shipping flop vs his sizing is pretty bad.

I don't even think folding flop is that bad really.

Re: 50$ shove flop?

Really villain depend,reads?
With out reads i'm folding flop.
20bb deep i can't see the value of calling pot size bet(shoving is bad) everything that lead this flop have great equity against you better 7,9x, fd+overs str8 draw+overs, most likely villain gonna fire turn and you will fold.

Re: 50$ shove flop?

I do not have any reads here, just he was playing quite passive. But brobably it would be better to fold on flop if we are not going to continue on turn with this hand. As mentioned i quess he has a lot of equity against our hand and he is not folding to a ship most of the time i quess..

25/50 with no reads? You actually been playing the game or just been sitting out?
