5$ turbo hu-sng, did i play this right?

Seat 2 is the button
Seat 1: Villain (1635).
Seat 2: Hero (1365).
Hero has small blind (15)
Villain has big blind (30)
Hero receives: [9h][7h]
Hero raises to 60
Villain raises to 120
Hero calls 60
*** FLOP ***: [10d 6c 7d]
Villain checks
Hero bets (155)
Villain calls (155)
*** TURN ***: [10d 6c 7d] [7c]
Villain checks
Hero bets (350)
Villain allin (1360)
Hero allin (740)
*** RIVER ***: [10d 6c 7d 7c] [2s]
------ Summary ------
Villain shows: Two pairs. As and 7s [Ah Ac].
Hero shows: Three Of Kind of 7s [9h 7h].

So I get 97 suited, and make a min raise. Villain min re-raises, and I call with 3 to 1 odds, thinking if I don't hit the flop then I fold. On the flop I hit middle pair and a gut shot straight draw. He checks, and I put him on AK or some kind of over cards, or possibly checking to trap. I bet out trying to represent an over pair, AT, or a set, but he calls. I end up getting 3 of a kind on the turn, we get all in, and I crack his aces. Should I have folded preflop to his min re-raise, or checked back the flop?

Youre trying to rep overpair on T high board after calling his min 3bet? Min reraise would be 90 btw. Preflop easy call. Betting flop is highly dependent on your opponent.

I'd actually go for a check on the flop. We don't mind seeing the turn card while keeping the pot under control. Also, when fishy players min 3-bet and check the flop it usually means they have something and want you to bet (slowplay).

PS! Don't include results in the future.

Basically you played the hand fine, but your flop thinking is just kinda wtf all over the place.
if you put him on overcards why on earth are you trying to rep AT/overpair/set. Just value bet your pair with the GS for backup when he's slowplaying. The reason for betting aside, how would you even rep a SUPER strong hand here by betting when checked to.

yeah well played. like the turnbet since he's calling a bigsized bet w/the same range as he'd call a middle-sized bet.

if the turn blanks i'd bet/fold turn smallish, check back river

Re: 5$ turbo hu-sng, did i play this right?

Readless I think it looks pretty good, I see a lot of villians playing so different when min 3betting. But I think we safely can do a valuebet on flop+ turn.

"He checks, and I put him on AK or some kind of over cards, or possibly checking to trap."

How many hands had you played with him at this point? Had he min 3bet or 3bet before? Did you see what he have if so?... Do you have a reason to put him on this range?

"I bet out trying to represent an over pair, AT, or a set"

I think you should change your thought process to - I bet out trying to get value from his overcards, draws and occasional tiltcalls and bottompairs.

Your though process was more like a semibluff when there is some value to gain.
