Re: (Now With Poll For PS Version 7-25) 2012 2+2 HUSNG Forum Championship
Could do a survivor where each time the day with the fewest votes gets eliminated
way too fancy for something so small but would be funny

Re: (Now With Poll For PS Version 7-25) 2012 2+2 HUSNG Forum Championship
start eliminating the least voted for option every day and restart the poll.
When there´s just 3 options left we can give it a little longer.
Then do the same with daytime.
0-5,6-10,11-15,16-20,21-24 gmt
then if for example 16-20 wins make the options 16,17,18,19,20.
then make it a poll for the top 3.
Might be too late to do it this time but that would be a good option for next years tourney.

Re: (Now With Poll For PS Version 7-25) 2012 2+2 HUSNG Forum Championship
Id just like to contribute to this thread by saying that 9 GMT for belgium, netherlands, "and those were-abouts" (germany for example) is 9 in the evening which to me also appears to be a good time to start this (everyone home from work)
If we are looking at organising this especially for people who do not just play poker 24/7 (which we should IMO because if it was just for the people who are on all the time we could pick whatever date and most likely make it)
So maybe im missing something but I dont see the issue with the time, out of curiosity where are you people from that dont like the time and what timezone are you guys in?

Re: (Now With Poll For PS Version 7-25) 2012 2+2 HUSNG Forum Championship
its 10 in the evening for Amsterdam,Berlin,Bern afaik.
For me it´s just that i have no idea how long this will take. If we´re done in 1 or 2 hours its fine.(i might not even take part if saturday wins, cause thats my pokerfree day)
But i can imagine it to take quite a while since we´ll always have to wait for the slowest match to finish before we move on to the next round.

Re: (Now With Poll For PS Version 7-25) 2012 2+2 HUSNG Forum Championship
FTP turbos a little bit faster then stars turbos tho
but yeah if what anjo said is correct I can see why people would want 7 or 8 GMT i just wouldnt go earlier then 7 because then people might not be able to make it if they get home at 6 from work or so
Apparently had it wrong because of rigged summer & winter hours we have & swapping it all the time Im always off on those things haha

Re: (Now With Poll For PS Version 7-25) 2012 2+2 HUSNG Forum Championship
Stop whining and just 'make' the time to play. I mean, stuff like this comes around once a year, and if you are not stoked enough to play fellow 2p2ers this one time then you are not interested enough in this anyways.
I will play if it's my off day or if it is 6am or if it cuts into my work (just take the day off) or w/e, it's a one-time thing ffs. Personally, I want to get to have the potential to play guys like Rypac and Motown and RBJ (I want to destroy this guy) who I would otherwise not get to play, one of the reasons I chose Merge and not Stars for this competition. I'm looking forward to this, I'm competitive, I like to play guys from this community, so I will play, that's it...
PS: I will understand stuff like rigid work schedule, it's your b'day, your baby mama needs you to babysit, stuff like that, but otherwise make the effort, geez...

I guess I failed on timezone advice, I thought 9pm GMT would be 9-10pm for most of you in Europe. I guess 8pm would've been better.
I thought most ppl stayed up well passed midnight though here, I seem to talk to people all over the world and it's midnight-3am their time (except some of the business guys actually get up at 7am).

Also, my input doesn't really matter on this non USA one, but why not make this a sort of hybrid hyper turbo tournament? That's what most people play now anyways. 40bb, 3 or 4 minute blinds, this thing will be over fairly quickly and there's plenty of action and fun in it.
Even 5 minute blinds, 40bb starting stacks would be cool.
