I had a moment last night while tilting and realized that I'm not a good poker player. So I apologize if some of my questions seem very fundamental but I feel as though I must start from the beginning. Here's a position I find my self in often and now think that i may be playing it wrong. I am OOP and the BTN limps. I don't have a great hand so I check to see the flop and hit top pair weak kicker. I check and the BTN bets. I raise. Should I be c/c here instead to maybe induce another bluff on the turn or is my c/r ok.

imo c/c, u should fold out anything u beat, and have to pull off a big bluff on turn, the only hand that should call u, that u beat is T8 imo.
