iirc he checked river pretty quickly which discounts a 6 quite a lot imo.

i probably check back this river.. you're only getting called by hands that have you beat imo.

what are we getting value from besides hero calls, 22-88 that don't believe us? and 9x, and Tx type hands?

I just don't think there are enough hands in his range we get value from, versus hands that we're value owning ourselves on.

having his stats would make a difference in my decision, but I still don't think checking back is wrong here.. If you are Betting its a Bet/Fold right? I think that's awful when our hand has great showdown value..

you're folding out most hands you beat here, and getting called or raised by hands that have you crushed.

there just aren't that many T's and 9's in his range.. considering 50% of them are in play.. that's why i really like a check back..

bet turn a bit smaller 80-90, vbet river definitely enough Tx 9x that calls. i'd b/f small like t90.

close,i think chk river is best myb small value bet,we get value only from 9x pretty much and after he flat turn and two of them out,too thin imo.

i think it also depends a little bit on whether or not you think you'll be playing this person again.

if you're probably only going to play this single game, you're probably better off checking... just because it's the safer play. there are still a lot of hands that beat you and not too many hands that you beat that will also call another bet.

but if you're playing a series of games against this person... maybe making a value bet is better because it will make your bluffs more effective in the future.

it also depends on how light you think this person will call you down. some people make really stupid decisions in these hypers... and if you're pretty confident that your hand is good, go ahead and make the value bet. if you're not too confident, just check.

I am vbetting small on river, like coffeeyay said, b/f ~80 is good. Don't get into habit of checking back vbet spots, even very very thin spots like this.

really disagree with all of this, especially the logic.

You really shouldn't make plays based on metagame you should make them based on best expectation right now. It will be more profitable in the longrun.

Also don't make plays based on flimsly assumptions of confidence off small sample size make them based on adjusted population tendecies. Also why do you say that we should vbet only when confident it's good? based on population tendency you should check back only if you're super confident you can't vbet.

fwiw you can get their notes by going in the lobby "Options -> Player Notes", and typing in their name.
