That's it? 5,000+ tournaments and you earned less than what most Americans do in a month?

Jesus Christ. This really *is* a waste of time. Thread answered: No, these are not profitable. McDonald's would net more money quicker.

Still, just for ****s and gigs: None of this addresses why you simply don't run bad and other players do. One player losing a coin flip and another one winning it isn't a result of poker ability. Being a loser player isn't really a measure of poker ability when it's the result of beat, after beat, after beat, either. It's proof of an outdated, broken game.

My guess is that was his monthly results (pre rakeback), but I could be wrong.

Thanks for a great thread "DedicatedToPoker" (roflmao at the name btw, good stuff). Obviously BOL and WPN have discussed your account with each other and tagged your account as a losing player.

This means that even though you're like the 5th best player in the world, (cuz this game is actually really simple, thanks for reminding me) you're always going to lose. Shoot them an email asking them to change your account status to "winner". I did that and I haven't lose an all in with a pair of queens since!

You do realize the average American makes about $2500/month, right? And fwiw, I'm playing hypers (which take about 5 minutes a game), not BOL reg speeds.

Yeah man, posting a graph of some $15s I played last year (while literally working a fulltime job) means nobody is making money in husngs.

I also can confirm I made more than mcdonalds money in that sample and make more than mcdonalds money now

Regardless, there's a pretty big difference between "I can't beat $3 sngs!" and consistently making thousands of dollars. Which side of the divide are you on?

Variance. Where's your sample, friend?

if u are asking if a new player can break into the current husng scene, i would say yes if you are playing like 30s and below. anything above will be tough, either you have deep pockets or just motivated to study a ton. i therefore advise you to stop having that dream of 'making it' as it will save you energy you spend from typing, cursing and whining and to move on to maybe flipping burgers which you mentioned that makes more money

What a tragic thread. Props to duncelanas for actually trying to respond for as long as you did.

OP why don't you just stop complaining and quit? Move on like all the others have...

I play heads up cash and heads up sngs wherever i can get action i am happy. If your good regs will avoid you. If your not get read to get sit by regs ( usually russians) all day long you wont see many fish at all. They will play you till your bank roll is gone or let the rake eat away at your roll. I used to get sat by russians when i first started all day and night. Once you prove you can hold your own then they will leave you alone and you will get more fishy players over time. But you have to earn those fish by beating the good regs first. Most of the heads up players I know even the crushers have gone broke at some point. Your constantly going to be challenged by other top players. I enjoy it, but a lot of people don't have the stomach for the big swings.
