I recommend this piece of reading for anyone who plays poker. I put in 30-35 hours a week of HU SNG's and every time I run bad and/or start to become frustrated I come back and read this article.

I saw this was bumped, I'm glad it's still helping people.

A little background, I'm a freshman student-athlete at Texas Tech (tennis), I'm 19 and for the time being am not playing any poker. When I wrote this article I was in rural Venezuela for three weeks by myself for tennis tournaments. I had almost all my cash stolen and was in a bit of a predicament. In addition to thinking about my recent failed 50/100 shots as well as deciding how far I wanted to take my tennis/if college was the best option at this point, the fact that the only Spanish I knew would barely get me a taxi ride was troubling.

Long story short, I survived this and other adventures with my hard-headed approach to life. Dropping everything at 15 to move from Seattle to a tennis academy in Florida, I've been trying to do things people say I can't for as long as I can remember. Maybe eventually I'll taste the elusive success that my ridiculous standards require.
