Sprry if this has been asked before, looked around and I couldn't find what I was looking for. What is the minimum chipEv to be profitable at spin & gos?

It depends on the rake.

Rake EV chips per game
8% 44
7% 38
6% 32
5% 27

Hi there!
I have a question. In SB vs BB, 3handed, from 20 to 25, UOP, according to the preflop ranges I play I have to push from 55 to 22 (also another hands).
My question is: what about pushing these hands vs someone who calls AI very lightly, arround 40% of hands? With things like JT,K6, even K3of sometimes.

It must sound crazy but I've seen that situation many times in my 2e level.

If I compare 44 vs that calling range, using equilab, I get a 51% equity, but fold equity is not that high (they are folding 40% of times, so if we are at 20 bbs we are not getting that much from their folds).

And I think I have an edge vs these people, I have an 70 evchips in HU in a 800 sample (still being a noob myself, that's why ask this kind of things).

So, any tip about how to play these hands vs those specific players? I keep pushing them, because it's EV+ and without position vs probably aggro players I don't know any other play.

If they are calling too much... maybe not pushing 22-33 and including in my os range ATo is much better? (I'm pushing from A9-A7 already.

Thank you!

Hi max. Are those numbers the minimal to Breakeven or for a certain EV roi?

Yeah that's a tricky one sometimes. Basically what we would have to look at is not just which moves are +EV, but which decision would be the max EV one.

With some hands for example we would have 51% equity + the fold equity, which combined would give us an expected value of let's say +0.3BB. Do we expect to win more than this by minraising, or even limping?

Against some opponents we can see that they are very passive in limped pots. So while pushing our somewhat weaker holdings would certainly be +EV, it is not necessarily the best option available to us. We could opt to limp and then cbet at a very high frequency. One of the reasons he might be calling our shoves that wide could be he just likes to see flops.

So sometimes by taking a +EV line (because basically what you're saying is: 'whenever I shove I get called by worse hands very often and I don't like it') we are not making the best decision available to us, just the easiest one by having a chart tell us what won't be a -EV decision and then stop thinking.

Those are approximate numbers for 0% EV ROI (break-even).

Custom stat; you can download it from the PT4 website. In the meantime, you can simply find you total cEV won and divide by the number of games.

Is it total won chips divided with number of games or is net expected chips won divided with number of games?

Can someone please explain the formula to work out the breakeven point in spins for a certain percentage of rake? For example if rake was 8.5% how do you work out what percentage of games you have to win/cev to break even? Much thanks

Rake is 0.04 for $7+ games, 0.05 for $3, and 0.07 for $1.

Breaking it down:
Expected ROI = ((expected win rate * expected prize pool buyins) - 1 buyin) * 100

Expected win rate = (EV chips won per game + 500) / 1500

Expected prize pool buyins = 3 - 3 * rake = (1 - rake) * 3

Example:
Rake = 0.04
EV chips per game = 40

Expected prize pool buyins
= (1 - rake) * 3
= (1 - 0.04) * 3
= .96 * 3
= 2.88

Expected win rate
= (40 + 500) / 1500 = 0.36

Expected ROI
= (0.36 * 2.88 - 1) * 100
= 3.68% (see note)

Note: This is for a purely winner-take-all format, so actual expected ROIs will differ for .com Spin&Go, being very slightly lower for expected winners. For the example above, expected ROI will actually be 3.61% rather than 3.68%.

Hi guys!

Havent played poker for almost 2 years. Played some low stakes PLO back then. Im little curious on trying Spin & Go's but have no clue how beatable it is at microstakes. Is it higher raked than micro plo? If you just wanna play for fun 3-5 hours a week but still wanna win some, is spin & go the way to go?

Hey. Been thinkg about giving these spins a go and need to decide should I go twisters or fishpartys. Probably start from the smallest ones because have allmost no experience with these and have flat rb deals to both networks. So are there any big differences between these games? I assume they are equally soft so do they run 24/7? And how much of a bankroll you need to play these? I bins obv and the smallest stakes.

And is there a way to get pref seating permanent in partys heros? Sucks when I have to every single time move my seat.

I was planning on purchasing some Spin & Go training videos (which are expensive) and spend a lot of time trying to learn these, but now that Stars has basically lowered rewards to 3-4% RB is it even worth it?

Not counting RB, what ROI is possible in the micro stake spins?

Whether it's worth it or not: It's a popular game with casual players, there's good profit in them. What game are you coming from? I'd put Spins in the top 5 healthy/attractive formats of poker.

Hello, I'm new to spins, played a bunch basically, but didn't go into strategy a lot.

Things I need to learn, but don't know where to look at:

1.) Which hands to open from BU or limp/call? How does stack size (amount of BB's) change our opening range?

I need charts for this, but where do you get them?

2.) What range do we call an all in vs unknown/maniac during first hand?

3.) During HU, do we just stick to the HU push/fold charts?

4.) Which hands to defend from SB/BB vs BTN open?

5.) How do we play from SB vs BTN open/limp? When do we limp/open from SB after BTN folds? What do we do when OPP minraises us from BB when we open on SB?

6.) When HU, when do we limp call? or raise if OPP limps?

I know ranges vary on stack size, but default or standard ranges.. Where does one find them?

Also about charts.. There is a lot of sites having them, but I'm not sure if they apply to spin and go's, neither if they are actually correct? Can someone look at this example and tell me if it is good for HU?

Should I just buy HUD with these charts implemented and follow them?

You don't want to play push fold at such high stack sizes. You can use some charts for something like 7bb or less, but if you are only pushing or folding from SB at 15bb, you'll be doing yourself a large disservice.

You're not going to get anywhere near good answers to most of those questions just handed to you, most good coaches and video packs will teach you more about how to find the answer yourself, since the answer changes based on your opponent (and the population changes over time/between stakes/between sites even).

Coffeeyay's Beating Spin and Gos is a good place to start for how to approach some of these questions. He does give ranges to answer some of your specific 3 handed play questions, but more importantly he talks about how to arrive at a decision. That pack came out in 2015 and was last updated in 2016.

I have recently switched from the .COM server to the .UK server and when I start my sharkystrator I get a this error message:

Error

Can't open note file!

C:\Users\edbiggums\AppData\Local\Pokerstars\notes. EdBerg.xml

I've been in correspondence with Pokerstars and they said the note file is not corrupted.

Has anyone experienced this problem before? I am offering 50 dollars if anyone can assist me in fixing this issue. PM me if you think you can help

When you switched to .uk all your files will have been transferred/recreated to

C:\Users\edbiggums\AppData\Local\Pokerstars.uk\

The directory C:\Users\edbiggums\AppData\Local\Pokerstars\ will now be empty (except maybe for a directory named Audit

Changing the directory path in Sharkystrator should fix the error but there's no guarantee your original notes file was transferred.
It may have been deleted by the update process.

Hope this helps
