Hi everyone,

Vilain shoves sometimes vs raise, I don't know much about his frequency though.

Open shove or limp? I assume those ones are the best option, am I wrong?

Position Name Stack
SB Hero 710 (11.8 bb)
BB 790 (13.2 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K

the EV of both options depends on the level of aggressiveness of your opponent

in general, as your opponent gets more passive, both preflop and postflop, the EV of limping goes up (as you see flops a higher % of the time, get to realise equity, and get to make him fold his equity postflop)

jamming however is unexploitable, and +EV (as in better than folding), so when your opponent is giving you a hard time, you could consider it (e.g. opponent has jammed 2/2 versus our limps, we might want to take the def +EV option)

as generally most opponents are too passive, readless this would always be a limp for me
