Hey all,

New to spins, not new to poker but it's been a while. But always looking to improve my game. I use to play quite a few HUSNG Hypers. So once HU I feel like I have an edge on my opponents usually. 3 handed I tend to play tight'ish maybe a little to tight. I've Googled and looked up strategy and read and looked at various charts. Everything states 3 handed below 12bb from Sb and BT I should be shoving. Which I understand... So I went away to holdemResouce calc made SB short stacks at different effective stacks to see what is plus EV to shove. Then played with what I think ppl generally call with at micro twisters.

The question is is shoving from the SB and BT the best option at the micros? I know it's opponent specific but am I on the right track with how important trying to improve my game. Against the opponent's at the micros may I be better to go with a limp from Sb if BB allows until even shallower effective stacks. From the BT should I stick to shove game below 12 because im stealing from both SB and BB? I do feel because of bad postflop play at micros shoving while I can create a GTO range at effective stacks may not be getting the most EV.

You brought up a couple of points and as you said this is going to be heavily dependent on player tendencies.
Is it better to limp stuff like Axs, KJ, KQ as the SB after a BTN limps compared to going allin? Well if BB is playing back a lot against limps then yea you could make that argument. But the tendencies of most micro players is going to be to check back against double limps and play fit or fold postflop, especially 3 way, so your action postflop might be dead when you hit and it's hard to find a call with KJ on a low board with 3 players that limped.

I can see taking an exploitative line and limping/minraising huge hands like QQ+ to try and trap being +EV over a shove but generally hands like Kxs, Axo , low pairs it's probably better to get it in. If you're in doubt just play straightforward.

I look at pre flop hand charts thinking someone at the micro level will download and play back at you with .

Limping in change the other pot odds and most people at the micro-stakes are not going to look at pot odds
