A friend asked me about this hand, wondering what the standard is here. Micro limits (but i guess it could apply to fush at higher limits).

10/20, 1400 effective stacks

Villain has 3bet (60->180) first button open.

Hero: AT
villain:XX

Hero bets 60, villain raises to 180, hero calls

Flop (pot 360): 6, 2, 6

Villain bets 360, hero?

I would say flat, but wondering about turn action.

What do we do if villain shoves any turn card?

a) any 2 through 9
b) J, Q or K
c) Tx, Ax

What do we do if villain bets 1/4th to 1/3rd pot (pot will be 1080 on the turn)?

A)same
b)same
c)same

What do we do if villain checks?

a)same
b)same
c)same

Thanks

are we assuming no reads?

edit: "wondering what the standard is here"... i guess so

Well SS or reads would be useful. "If" it were high stakes you usually know if it's a random or a regular fish or a regfish or whatever, but obv no decent player pots that flop so it's right to assume he's a fish, and also right to assume you'll likely have an edge if you fold, so you want continuing to be quite +EV.

Your equity against his range is not really that great, and vs a pot bet, and possible draw-dead and/or lose value if you hit A and/or being dominated makes it sort of weird. Combined with the EV factor of playing as long as possible, and the pot odds, I just fold.

I like to peel A high vs regfish who just barrel A turns a lot but this is really just a clueless fish who probably has AK or an overpair, so just fold it. I mean he can have a middling pocket pair that's protecting but that's ahead of us and his entire range doesn't let us float sooooo

fold.

This hand was from me. He wasn't exactly clear in the OP but this is the 3 hand of the match and his 2nd 3 bet, first match vs villain and it's at the 5s so I don't SS my opponents.

2nd 3bet doesn't mean enough to bet continuing based on it I think. I get carried away with adjustments too much and still I think this is not the spot to do it. A high is generally a very strong hand on this board but when villains are turning their ranges face up, then do yourself a favor and look at it.

Against an unknown, I'd even fold ATo pre-flop to a 3bet and then immediately change my play to only minraise my buttons.

Ew, I don't fold ATo first hand, much less second 3bet in 3 hands.

sorry, we will assume $50's and below, SS say villain is a moderate losing player to a big losing player (for the general example - ATM obviously didn't SS villain).

Thanks for the response Sol - makes sense.

Ooops, was a bit confused here, thought it was the first time of the match.

I still wouldn't flat a 3bet with ATo first hand of the match against an unknown, but if he's already done it before, then it's a clear call.
