Amen to that. fishreg is the worst term I've heard in a while.

standard $22 game IMO

Full Tilt Poker $22 + $1 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BTN/SB: t1410 M = 31.33
Hero (BB): t1590 M = 35.33

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BB with K K
BTN/SB raises to t1410 all in, Hero calls t1380

Flop: (t2820) 9 Q A

Turn: (t2820) 6

River: (t2820) 3

Final Pot: t2820
BTN/SB shows 3 3 (three of a kind, Threes)
Hero shows K K (a pair of Kings)
BTN/SB wins t2820

None really? Fish are the same.

My small sample suggests different though:

$105: 377 games at 14% roi. (60%itm)
$210: 670 games at 7% roi. (56% itm)

But that's me trying to two table 200s and failing badly. Also I ran good in 100s and bad at 200s overall.

I know it's a small sample, just gives a slight indication though. I personally see very little difference. The regs are probably slightly better though although there are still plenty of fishregs.

Play some of the 5 dollar fish, you'll retract this statement.

Side note: If you're playing all fish, of course you'll always have an edge, but I think the edge changes on average as you move up, it gets smaller and smaller on average. People don't notice it as much bc they improve themselves as they move up.

I shouldn't have said all levels. I'll revise to 50s-200s.

The average player plays slightly better as you move up, but you still get people who have played like 20 games sitting in 100s-200s all the time and playing worse than the average $5 player.

Sejje, I think you may be absolutely correct, at least in Stars 50-200s (I don't play FTP regular speeds so I don't know about those), the fish are bad and aren't too much different.

You do get more of the high variance, kind of know what they are doing type degens that will sit you in the 200s though. People who just want action and are fine to play against but you won't have nearly as big of an edge as you do against most fish.

But otherwise I see a lot of similar ROIs for the 50-100s and not as big of a drop into the 200s as you might expect.

500s are pretty much the same
just avoid the regs and be prepared to wait some time to get action

hardest level to beat the regfish is 50's and not close imo

i have recently added the stars 220s and have actually noticed they have been somewhat softer then the 110s.

most of the fish are about the same at 50s/100s/200s, but pretty much everyones ROI decreases as the move up levels so there is obv a difference

1600 $110s, roi 3.5%
2300 $220s, roi 5%
900 $550s, roi 6.5%

$550s not really legit sample though working on that
