Well there is a few basic concepts you have to understand about selfdiscipline(its like a resource you can´t replenish without sleep or food),levels of competence(it uses your selfdiscipline until you have reached unconscious competence),habits(it take at least a month for a habit to stick and if you try more than one at once you´re selfdiscipline will be used up after a week or two and you´ll fail)...

(try to get a good trigger for your habit. i had onset of dark as a trigger for going for a run, but now in the summer i´d have to go at 10 pm and havent had the discipline to change the trigger so i havent run for 2 months ....)
