probably you don't want it shown because it shows you were lucky to win as much as you did? well, it works the other way around when you lose alot and EV shows you as a winner (my case atm ).

Mainly because i dont wanna know how much i should have been up or down, but how much i really am up or down.

I dont like it when i feel like i played great and gonna check out my graph and see that i should not have been up so much, same thing when im losing, i dont wanna see that i should have been up, the knowledge that ive been unlucky and/or played bad is enough.

And when i asked that question i had just won 2 games vs a fish, with AA vs 44 and KK vs 1010, and my EV said +-0.

The guy who said Germany was in the Axis of Evil isn't that bad, he just confused the pop phrase coined then with the actual Axis in WW2 right?

I thought he meant that was the Axis of Evil, since that was what the question was about, and I think basically everyone knows who the axis are, if not from history then at least WW2 games... right?

so you are a reg at the 50's right? If u were in an mtt and the prize jump were 30k, would u want to play a hu match for 30k?

plus blind structure is much different etc, and not even in chips to start...so many factors

I wouldn't chop unless I get a chip advantage in the chop, I need the money, or if I think I have no edge, and I am sure what he means that he assumes the HU player is more likely to have an edge than not over a random MTT player.

I understand where he is coming from, but just because you have an edge on a player doesnt mean you need to take a risk of 30x your normal buy in imo. Thats kind of like a $300 reg sitting a 5k vs a fish because he's got an edge. And who doesnt need the money? He wouldnt be playing if he didnt need/want/care about the money

agree w/pistons, except that there IS people who do not need/want/care abt money. Like scout126 for example.. guy gave away $1000 to a random observer bec he liked a link the observer send him.

Another reason for the chop could be sleepyness. He had been playing like what, 5/6 hours before the chop? Maybe more..

A 300 reg would snap sit a 1k or 2k, though, and if the fish is bad enough I think a lot of them will play 5k too. I'd sit a 5k if I think I had 3-5% edge, even if, yeah, that's only $200 or so, and I'm not even anywhere near being a $300 reg. It really depends on how big the jump is, and even if he only gets second, he still gets a lot, so relatively speaking the jump is not actually that huge. He's shipping a big win either way. It's not like if he lost this "30k HU match" he'd be down 30k this month and he'd have to move down or can't cash out.

if the prize jump is 30k, its prob 70k -> 100k or something, so you're making some decent $ already, its not at all like a 300 reg sitting at 5k, so I'd take my chances unless I know the other guy is decent at HU too

I mean, why not chop at the beggining of the FT too then, why play the high-variance FT?

lol hes already getting like 40k right? Id hate to see the kinda debt where that 30k isnt worth the gamble. I really think that if blinds are deep enough (and for this kind of payout they were probably fairly deep) I would have a fairly significant edge. I recently started getting back into MTTs because imo most the of the MTT regs are horrible shorthanded, and significantly worse headsup, plus they play preflop so much that they alot of em are pretty bad postflop. I even watched a bigdogpckt5s video where he just made rediculous mistakes when headsup, and he is one of the best MTT reg in the world. Most of the MTT regs are used to being headsup for alot of money so they can be extra aggro because alot of times the villain is scared to play back and fearful to get it in bad because of the large increase in payouts. Im not saying he was wrong to chop, but its very rare that I would.
