There are only 2 ST players I recognize in the current Top 10.

Lower variance, fun in not feeling like poker is you vs. the world, helps the games fill.

how are the lb points calculated? I've played 150 sts (and 1 reg speed) this month between 100-200 (even split) and I'm not even on the list

One of us should take down tressizback that dbag shouldn't be allowed to win.

that has got to be one of the worst salesman ever. I mean even a fat rpg enthusiast almost got me to buy a giant two handed steel sword because he was chopping pig heads and huge pieces of meat for 12mn somewhere on youtube.

Bitchi:

The formula for reg speeds/turbos is that for every opponent you have a winning record against, you get 1 point. For every opponent you have played against and are tied with in the month, you get 0.5 points.

The formula for STs is that you get 0.5 points for every opponent you have a winning record against. If you're tied, I believe you don't get any points for STs, but it doesn't state it either way.

Based on the people who are currently doing well, I don't think it's a game where ST people have a huge advantage, especially with 1-1 etc counting as 0 points for STers. It's also something where you're not going to do well if you keep rematching the same people while ahead - even though it's absolutely better to do that in a lot of cases for money - are you really going to decline lots of fish because of some silly leaderboard and maybe a BI difference at the end of the month? It's only good to do this if you're really committed to finishing in the top 5.

It's a pretty smart promotion because it gets people playing other regs trying to 1-0 them and then starts a lot more action that way.

but it discourages rematches which is bad for generating rake. and not the best for us regs either. there are plenty of ways to make this promotion so it encourages rematches as well as variety of opponents.

i imagine they were just worried about 2 people taking advantage of the promotion by playing each other repeatedly
