i don't think that downswings are really that bad in HU. the biggest downswings i've had are about 20 - 25 buy ins. and i've had maybe 6 or 7 of those over the past few years. but all those big downswings have been my fault. i was on tilt, or playing bad, and that's why i had those downswings.

i think if you don't go on tilt, and play close to your A game at all times, and you keep playing fish (or at least play people that are worse than you)... then i think you'll only have maybe 10 - 15 buy in downswings that are due purely to bad luck.

but after you've had a few big downswings, you learn to deal with it. and hopefully, you learn from your downswings.

everytime i have a big downswing, i tell myself that i'll never go on tilt again and i'll try to keep playing solid poker from here on in... of course that never works... but maybe someday i'll be able to eliminate my tilt and donkey style moments.

I'm sqwerty12 on Stars...used to play anything from $6-$50 turbo HUSNG's...have probably played about 2000 of them.
