Why do I always run into the top of everyone's range after my first shove at 50-100?

if villain is super-floaty [seeing his flop call in this hand, this looks to be a good assumption] and bets at any sign of weakness then checking here looks preferable, especially since our hand is not vulnerable to redraws and there's not many "scary" draw completing cards at all for a river bet if villain has something like a 6x hand and wants to catch a river bluff.

Has anyone else been unable to stomach the reg speed games after trying the turbos? They take so long, and I play on FTP. I feel like I'm getting spoiled and I'll never be able to play on another site since this is the biggest one that offers a 3 minute blind increase. I just can't stand how slow the regulars go now.

i dunno i like having more time to model opponents and think about how to exploit them. only play turbos when im tilted and wanna spew.

i also single table and drink a lot of coffee.

uuuugh i just tilted for the first time since 2007 and dropped 5 buyins straight at the 115s. a blindfolded monkey would have played better than i did.

Play him enough to show that he isn't making money off of you and that he can't scare you out of the lobby.

I figure that if you play well he'll stop sitting you

that said I don't know much about the egos of 550+ players so I might be totally wrong

so im curious how do you guys learn to deal with the larger swings as you move up?

i mean i remember being bummed about losing $15 and now my tolerance is up to a several hundred, but it's been a pretty slow, painful process involving various downswings and such. any tips/experiences?
