are the 7.00 hypers much tougher than 3.50 on Stars? are the 7.00 hypers much tougher than 3.50 on Stars?

i played the 3.50 and 7.00 in equal amounts, roughly 1,600 games at each stake
3.50 i ran at 55%
7.00 i ran at 48.78% (down about 70 buyins)
why such big difference?

im new to hyper husngs and not sure if its bad variance at 7.00 or something else, being down 70 buyins doesnt seem normal.

Meaningless sample at both stakes. 7s aren't much harder but they're full of people who are crushing the 3.50s while 3.50s are going to have more people who are completely horrible.

im running 35bi below ev at the 7.00 so i hope its because of bad variance. but im moving down now back to the 3.50 to rebuild confidence and roll

edit: and i also played good all the way till the last 10 games or so where i just lost it and started tilt allin every table every hand. but that only for the last 10 games, and i believe i lost all of them lol

Confidence in your game and avoiding tilt is really important. You should also realize that you are really bad compared to a high stakes reg and have almost infinite opportunities to improve. In your last post you have already told us one of your big leaks that you need to fix to become better.

Still a bunch of droolers, but now some of these droolers understand pot odds.

I wouldn't say $7 are tough per se, as even "regulars" are pretty horrible, but increased aggression makes games definitely more swingy. Many of these players have learned concepts such as that their opponent can't always have a hand that is able to call 3 barrels profitably, people often c-bet flop and play later streets fit-fold (in other words it can be profitable to float flop and lead any river if turn is checked) or if board is paired it's more unlikely that opponent has a made hand. The mistake these bad regulars make though is the fact that they are constantly (every single time the situation arises) trying to exploit these tendencies and tend to spew a lot. It might be intimidating to be face three barrels every time on BB or not really get folds on flop, but if you approach it calmly and focus on big value it shouldn't be that hard to beat that limit.
Also most of these players seem to be very prone to tilting. Almost every time they lose a bigger pot or two (that puts effective stack to about 12-15bb) they get overly aggressive and start mindlessly (3-bet) shoving to get back to even.

There are twice as many regulars at 7$ as 3.5$ level, but you can still play super bad players 80%+ of the time. There are also fewer players that are completely clueless (e.g. 40% VPIP in SB, 60% FvCB etc) , but just as many players who like to gamble or run big bluffs etc.
