Hero (BB): 41 BB
SB: 26 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has AT

SB raises to 2 BB, Hero raises to 5 BB, SB calls 3 BB

Flop: (10 BB, 2 players) 6K9
Hero checks, SB checks

Turn: (10 BB, 2 players) A
Hero bets 4 BB, SB calls 4 BB

River: (14 BB, 2 players) 9
Hero ?

1) What do to on river? 9 hits the villain's range pretty much, doesn't it?
2) Sizing ott?

This hand works better as 3-bet-jam pre-flop.

1) I think check-calling river is best cause there are still plenty of straight draws that missed. Hands like JT, QJ, perhaps like T8, T7, 87 are very much in his range and there's a good chance villain bluffs them given a chance.

I'm not a fan of betting river because we split with weaker Ax and Kx might not call another significant bet.

2) I would make it bigger on the turn, like 7-8bb. Rarely are we behind here and you want to charge him for draws and weaker value. A worse Ax is pretty much not going away even if you bet both turn and river big so betting small is just missing value.

edit: check-call river, not limp-call

Ty.

Starting at which depth do you 3b-shove ATo-AKo? Aren't we too deep for shoving?

Also by limp-calling river u meant x/call?

I only play hyper turbos which start at 25BB. At 25BB you can easily 3-bet-shove ATo against almost everyone.

Yeah I mean't check-call river.
