Even for rec play, they can hardly be advertised in good faith anymore. I know you know great coaches. Why don't you put somehing updated out?

We have a lot of good video packs and we've taken some of the more outdated ones and put them into the "other content" area of the site (not the one you speak of, however), so we're only featuring relevant material in the categories of our website. There's still plenty of value in both zzz packs, though I recommend beginners take the cheaper and newer Pbogz pack usually first.

We'll have an up to date "guide" to HUSNGs out later this year though.

Outdated isn't always an appropriate word either. We have 6 year old videos on the site that are absolutely as relevant today as they were back then. Granted, not many, but several videos made that long ago were taught in a way that doesn't rely on progression/population tendencies to be relevant. A lot of Crushing Hyper Turbos (the first zzz one) doesn't rely on progression or population tendencies either. Crushing Regs is less relevant than it was when it came out, but as reg wars have creeped up at lower and lower stakes, applicability skews downwards some.

I'm on it already It's taken quite a bit more time then hoped (originally hoped to have it done by January!), but I think it will be well worth the wait--it's shaping up to be something special!

How relevant is Mersenneary's book in today's environment? I'm playing low stakes spins and I'm really trying to improve my HU game, but I don't want to waste my time on outdated strategy. I am also considering purchasing pbogz videopack or coffeeyay and friends videopack. Which one would be best for someone trying to get solid fundamentals down on their game and starting winning?

Most of what he advocates he gives his reasoning for. That entire ebook was all about teaching how to think, having reasons for decisions and learning how to improve your game.

I wouldn't use something like ROFL blindly today, then again, when it came out I would not either. ROFL was all about showing how his hard work and analysis of his database led to assumptions/strategies, and any player from the day the book came out until today should learn the process first and foremost.

I hope that helps, the pattern you'll see as that there aren't that many easy to digest 1-2-3 strategies to automatically win, but that's also why the game has been so darn profitable for over 8 years now, and why 7-9 years ago when people were comparatively simple playing these games, the profit was actually lower.

Are there any good Video packs on HUSNG.com for Bovada players. I guess specifically vs Unknown opponents.

Hokie's pack is older, but that was all about playing readless in a single game, developing some reads in a short period, setting up your own bayesian process. I think that one is very applicable for you.

More generally, something like Pbogz pack is going to be good to give you an idea on how to play better, particularly at short to mid stacks in those games.

Most of our packs are geared more towards decision making rather than utilizing deep reads from thousands of hands, so Bovada's anonymous play shouldn't be a major factor.

We have several other video projects on the way that should be exciting though.

I have sent 2 emails to support in the last 24 hours and had no response. The video packs that I purchased have expired and I wish to have these re-activated. Strange how it takes longer than 24 hours to respond. My username is kevd10

Hey, we probably have 10-15 emails per day to sort through. If you bump after 12 hours that's just going to push it back in the que in my inbox. I see you're 5th currently now, so it should be in the next 30-45 minutes.

Im going through coffeyay Spin pack (great material BTW). I think I could really improve my HU game. Over 344 games this week I have 40% 1st, 40% 2nd. The distance are only 8 games in first wich is too litle i guess. In HUsng I have 53% 1st over jus 1k sample (im a recreational player). Anyway. I would love to work in my HU game towards Spin. Which would be the most appropriated material the husng has available? I was think about the Crushing Hyper Turbo HUSNGs pack.

Hey there,

What buyin level are you at?

Working on your HU game makes sense, though I wouldn't do so solely because of those results, 80 games is nothing and great players with 55% edges can lose 40+ games in that span without any indication of an issue.

Actually it is 344 games and 40% of it in 1st. Anyaway I guess it is really a small sample. Im playing $1. But I will only move up after 1k games at least.
Thanx for the answer anyway.

I'd work with some of the free videos on our youtube channel, www.youtube.com/husngcom, and also consider the Pbogz Journey Pack as well.

My bad for the 80 game mistake, but yea definitely try to avoid looking too hard at results in small samples (even a few hundred is small).

Good luck on the progress!

I'm willing to buy the "Crushing Hu hyper turbo" pack by zztilt and phl500 but 200$ seems too much for a pack that came out almost 4 years ago. Would you still recommend it?

Like many of our packs, that is not the type of pack that is going to go into depth about playing a set range of hands or strategy. It's going to talk a lot more about how to adjust to your opponent's tendencies and how to build a winning strategy.

4 years ago one of the top HS players then (and still today) said that every 1k+ reg would benefit from watching that pack. Today, that is probably a stretch, a lot of new, very relentlessly data driven players are the best today. However, the point stands, that the benefit 4 years ago to the top players wasn't going to have to do with what ranges their opponents had in actual games, but how to fundamentally approach decision making in a high level way.

Today, I would certainly recommend that pack to low-mid stakes players that want a more solid core approach to HUSNGs.

We also have several new packs coming out, the newest this month. So if your budget is limited, you may want to wait until the newest HUSNG pack is released this month. You'll see full details very soon on that.

Is there going to be any new content on 40-75 bb play, or should I just watch Paul's Twitch archive instead of waiting (he does sometimes play turbos and regspeeds)? [40-50 bb spots happen in Party's SNG Hero from time to time, namely, if 2 players out of 4 are eliminated at the first blind level and the remaining 2 have roughly equal stacks.]

Nothing specifically geared towards those stack sizes. It'll be more on hyper turbos, so focused 5-30bb with applications higher but not a focus on 40-75bb play.

No problem, this is totally understandable as there's too little action in turbos at serious stakes now anyway. Thanks for telling about your plans so early!

I'm lost and a total noob lol, are these questions for OOP or OTB? Also does barreling mean just betting or non-value betting or what, I'm confused :/ Thanks

This section is indeed for Out of position situations, Also, when i mention barreling. It means betting the turns with both value and equity in order to stay balanced vs our opponents!
