Hello,

11$ HUSNG Turbo

BB: t1400 70 BBs
Hero (BTN/SB): t1600 80 BBs

Pre Flop: (t30) Hero is BTN/SB with A 3
Hero raises to t40, BB calls t20

Flop: (t80) 9 K A (2 players)
BB bets t60, Hero calls t60

Turn: (t200) T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets t120, BB calls t120

River: (t440) 4 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero (a): b/f 180-220$ // Hero (b): checks back

Its the first hand in the match, villain basically is unknown but he is playing 2 tables. Comments on all streets are highly appreciated.

Thanks for reading

I bet river. His line doesn't add up to a good ace since he should bet the turn. you split with aces higher than you A8-A5. And he could lvl himself to call with a king or some other wierd ****.

I check back. Less value, but it's the first hand of the match and there are some made draws and stronger Ax. Getting the information on what he calls 2 barrels with is more useful at this stage than seeing him fold to a 3rd barrel.

Is that terrible?

@about_time: why would you raise the flop?

@everyone else: thanks for your replies so far, it´s almost exactly what I expected. its close between betting and checking back obviously. But as most of you already stated there shouldnt be too much concerns about getting c-r or valueowning ourselves.

therefore bet/folding 220 actually does a good job right ? would you probably think that there is more "implied" value in terms of getting information about villains line/hand by checking back ?? (like meteoric said ...)
