T How Can I Play This Hand Better?? T How Can I Play This Hand Better??

1st hand $50 HUsng Bovada. 75BB effective.

Hero MR button with Q8s.

Flop: A 8 2r- hero CB 1/2pot, villain calls.

Turn: 4- check/check

River: 2- Villain bets 130 into 160, hero folds.

24hours after this hand occurred I was able to see that villain had 97o on this hand. It was the first hand of our match. After the next 10-20 hands it had become apparent to me villain was c/c his entire range on flop when OOP in MR pots. My question is this.. if I would have came into the match knowing villains c/c flop tendency, what would be the optimal line to take once this flop ran out.

Is checking the flop best? Any other options besides checking back on flop because I do like to Cbet 1/2pot on alotta flops. Im also not so sure checking back flop is so great because I would be in equally as ****ty a spot when facing a Turn bet. With the line I took, is this river callable? I feel like it possible is because I wouldnt expect him to be turning K high into a bluff on the river but im just not sure that that is a proper way to play this hand and even seems semi-heroey... idk maybe not???? I also dont think raising River is a very credible line either. This hand frustrates me because I cant figure out what the best way to proceed in this hand is. Any insight and/or new ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Alright bro, appreciate the input. I kinda thought someone might say double barrel. When you say 'double barrel for VALUE..' its value because of how wide villains are floating, right? when called are you triple barreling often at all though? is this like a two barrel then give up type of spot first hand do you think? main reason why I didnt like double barrel at the time was because I thought it might be kinda spewy so early in the match but i guess the line I took really made things easy on my villain. As played though, do you think my EV would be greater calling the river or folding? Its gotta be more Ev to call river as apposed to folding because I just gave him such a green light to try and steal, right? Would you say my logic is correct in that at all? Just tryin to keep improving man and again, thanks for the input.
