I have no HH, but here's the hand:
hero stack: 1300
villain stack: 1700
blinds: 15/30
Hero: Q
Q
hero raises preflop to 60, villain calls. pot is 120
flop: 5
6
8
hero bets 60, villain raises to 120, hero raises to 360, villain raises to 720, hero goes all-in, villain calls. pot is 2600
----------------------------
minbet flop is my standard raise-size, I only 3x vs bad players with premium hands.
half pot cbet is also my standard size.
it's early in the game, we do not have much information.
We just know villain is a small winner (6% ROI) at the 50 and 100 $ games.
how do you play the flop?
after he minraises to 720 I had a bad feeling. but after so much in the pot can we fold QQ there?
I really didn't think he plays a monster draw like that, but shove any monster draw.
I had him on a set, 2pair, straight, overpair and maybe A8 sometimes.
so let's discuss 3 steps please:
1. flop comes, we do what?
2. he raises us to 120, we do what?
3. he minraises to 720, we do what?
I would say 1 is standard, I always bet 60, so why not here?
2, is standard imo too, guess it's -EV to just call isn't it?
3, that's the question, didn't went trough EV calculation but I guess where behind almost every time and still 900 left if we fold.
but still some hands we might beat. any chance to lay it down at this point?
calling is not an option since we're commited then anyway.
