Villain's standard LCB size was 1/2 pot, so this pot-sized bet looks a lot like TP+. Do you just fold on the flop? As played, I think my pair is never good here, but bluffing also seems marginal, as the turn and river cards are undercards, which decreases my fold equity. Bluff big anyway?

PokerStars - 10/20 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 26 BB
SB: 24 BB (VPIP: 65.93, PFR: 41.86, 3Bet Preflop: 21.43, Hands: 145)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 4 9

SB calls 0.5 BB, Hero checks

Flop: (2 BB, 2 players) J 9 T
Hero checks, SB bets 2 BB, Hero calls 2 BB

Turn: (6 BB, 2 players) 8
Hero checks, SB checks

River: (6 BB, 2 players) 6
Hero ?

What?

As a hand, hard to have any worse hands here otr, bluffing big makes sense.

Given your reads I think folding the flop is best.

As played, I'm kinda torn between just checking back and hoping he had 43o here and randomly bet big, or betting full pot because we are beat often. People rarely check Qx on the turn and I think they fold a decent amount of pairs to a big bet here. Betting anything smaller feels valueowning yourself tho.

Is it for balancing your raising range or what? Why not raise only value hands readless?

I'm pretty sure it's kinda opponent dependant if it's best EV or not to raise 94s.

I believe 94s is a raise against almost anyone, including regs, except for maybe like against a very high 3-bettor who is passive against limps.

check pre is fine read-less. Isoing is close, if you suck post it could be better. Can be important to iso vs some regs.

As played, x/f flop As played I'd x/f, but not terrible to turn into bluff.

Also @icanbeatSO wtf at raising every hand vs SB limp lol? that's not good...

I also misread the hand thinking we were in the SB. My bad guys. What I mean't was that this hand is a raise pre in the SB.
