Villain at 20-25BB:

minr 60%
limp 14%
cbet flop 80%, turn 50%, river 2/3
fold to flop x/r 0/2
3bet flop 0/1

Should I x/r the flop for value and protection? I feel like many hands will flat a x/r on this flop, so that I will put myself in an even more awkward spot. On the other hand, x/c flop and folding turns/rivers also seems weak to me.

PokerStars - 10/20 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 26 BB
SB: 24 BB (VPIP: 58.75, PFR: 47.16, 3Bet Preflop: 24.00, Hands: 276)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K 4

SB raises to 2 BB, Hero calls 1 BB

Flop: (4 BB, 2 players) 6 4 2
Hero checks, SB bets 2 BB, Hero ?

I don't want to increase the pot with this hand in this spot since there are a lot of bad turns to come. (We have neither bdfd nor sd). Not sure tho if it's the best line or not. I will be waiting for others to give their thoughts.

I would just flat, and also call pretty much any turn, unless it's like 3. Evaluate river based on the board and reads. I'd be more inclined to check-raise 6x with a decent kicker, some of my draws and some bluffs.

For value I think you can raise like Q6+, 65o and 65s, 63s, maybe like J6-T6 too if he cbets really wide.

I might consider calling some of the most premium hands, like 53s, 64s, 62s, 42s to have hands to call down 3 streets.

imo c/c always, not that check raise is bad, but compared to xraise after c/c it will be easier to play on later streets, also on this board sb can cbet pretty wide + doesnt look like he barrels like crazy, so no shame folding on later streets
