Assume no reads. What would be the worst value hand you check-raise here? Is this hand too weak to check-raise and get it in?

PokerStars - 10/20 NL (2 max) - Holdem - 2 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 25 BB (VPIP: 60.84, PFR: 42.75, 3Bet Preflop: 10.53, Hands: 144)
Hero (BB): 25 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has 9 8

SB raises to 2 BB, Hero calls 1 BB

Flop: (4 BB, 2 players) 7 8 4
Hero checks, SB bets 2 BB, [color=red]Hero ?

How much does it matter that villain can already have a straight? In other words, would our x/r value range change a lot on a 783hh flop?

Not that much, biggest difference is you cant check raise straights, also can go bit wider with 8x i guess
