    Generally not calling for a split in similar spots vs recs is the way to go, so I don't mind.

    Having said that this is the type of hand that pretty much doesn't matter for you, this particular texture with flopped 3 of a kind will happen so infrequently, that even if you improve on how you play it, it pretty much won't influence your wr.

    I would probe the turn around half pot to get value from A high and Q high. As played, I'm not folding to the river shove. Besides Kx, there's also a (small) chance he's got QQ-88.

    He is close to never checking down to the river with QQ-88 and then jamming over a lead, and I wouldn't start making assumptions like that without reads. His range is essentially Kx, 7x and air, hence Kobmish is spot on, it's a neutral spot and an extremely uncommon one at that.

    this pretty much. Would not be surprised if AA/7x shows up here most of the time vs a rec, as well this situation happens at an extremely low frequency so folding here is fine.
