If you play a $10 + $0.50 HU SNG and your opponent pushes all-in the first hand what do you call him with? Assume you are readless of your opponent.

How does this change with stake increase or decrease?

Reg Speed/Turbo/Hyper? Can't be too wrong to fold anything below AK at reg or turbos.

^This.

Although at micro stakes (and maybe all the way up to 10$) when a player does something exceedingly special (read: really bad) such as moving all-inn first hand in a HUSNG - it is not rare that he holds an exceedingly special (read: really bad) hand.

On the flip side, I guess some regs may be using this a strategy with AA, KK in the first hand to look like a fish and entice calls all the way down to maybe AJ and medium pockets.

To answer your last question. The lower the stakes, the worse hands you will see insta-pushing.

I remember spamz saying he had pretty good success shoving premium hands first hand up until $22 level. Obvoiusly tbe games changed a lo but in In my experience i also feel that fish call incredible light sometimes first hand, eg any Ax lol. I've also them call 67o sometimes ^^
As for calling i think it's trickier if he is reg my wanna call lighter unless u know he is tilted. Vs fish i wouldn't go too light either AQ+ sounds reasonable.

this question can't be answered without stack sizes. can't believe you're stupid enough to leave out that bit of information.

Standard HU SNGs start you off with a stack of 1500 chips with 10/20 blinds. So 75BBs to start. This is pretty common knowledge to most poker players.

I take that you were trying to insult me by calling me stupid. No offense was taken.

Thanks everyone else for your comments.

Aa, KK, QQ, ak. Honestly if someone is dumb enough to do this the first hand, just fold everything else and don't think twice about it. 19 out of 20 times it's a very poor player who will give you plenty of chances to stack him later.

^ Speaking of turbo and reg speed. Never played a hyper so idk.

I'd say QQ+, 7s4s, Th2h. You definitely should have a balanced call readless 75 BB openjam range.

...but seriously, something like ATs+, AQo+, 66+
