Full Tilt Poker $10 + $0.50 Heads Up No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t15/t30 Blinds - 2 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter By DeucesCracked Poker Videos

BB: t1440 48 BBs
Hero (BTN/SB): t1560 52 BBs

Pre Flop: (t45) Hero is BTN/SB with 8 7
Hero raises to t60, BB raises to t120, Hero calls t60

Flop: (t240) 5 8 4 (2 players)
BB bets t240, Hero calls t240

Turn: (t720) 2 (2 players)
BB bets t1080 all in, Hero calls t1080

River: (t2880) 4 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Villains has lost 100BI at this stake over the last 3 months. He was too tight so far overall although he was getting tired of my consistent **** slapping. Turn is very interesting, I felt that if his range here was something like an overpair he would bet smaller or more value-like, flawed thinking or fine?

i would be very interested in arguments of people who are not calling that turn. i can't think of any compelling.

I fold on turn without special reads . you beat only semi bluff type hands KQ, AK .

posting results ruins thread

Id raise flop also, and be relatively happy getting it in given pot size once you raise

Is it too tight to fold 87o to the 3bet here?

no way. getting 3 to 1 and being in position makes this hand very playable against a min3bet.

Not a min3bet but your point stands. I think OP's line is fine, I lean toward ideal even given the description.

I wasn't saying that his line wasn't fine, i just think that unless i'm up against a very loose player i wouldn't be calling the 3bet with 87o and i'm wondering if that is wrong.

this highly depends on your and his postflop skills. i'd say you won't do a big mistake by folding preflop as you will get into some marginal spots and will have to fold postflop alot of the time. i still think flatting pre has a positive expectation.
