I have not played much the last five years due to career advancement but have recently gotten back into the game. Back in the poker boom I was a profitable player but it was worth much more money to spend my time advancing my Actuarial career. Anyway, over the last 3 months I've gotten back into playing both live and online. Below are my results since I started playing again.

$10,800 chop from a $240 live tourney recently. I have played three other tournaments all at $200 but those other three were busts.

Full online progress since December 21st. The first spike was a $1k first place $30 buy-in PLO8 win and the second was a $2k $10-buy in first place. I play NLHE, PLO8, and PLO.

Not shown on the graph are results of +$843 in live cash games at 1-2 NLHE over 23 hours of total play. I keep meticulous notes of my play, bankroll, and winnings and would love to chat strategy prior to the tournaments.

I'm looking for a short-term partial stake (with premium for stakers) to play a series of the lower $365 events at the WSOP circuit stop near my home at Council Bluffs. Offering up to 40% of my action for a premium of 45% of results. I am very selective of the games I play and despite making $15k over the last three months I'm not buying into any of the bigger tournies (nor do I play 2-5 NLHE live... never have, probably never will).

I have not sought out stakes before and will be playing in the tournaments regardless but I thought I would try to split some action to lower variance. I will provide any other information required. 10% of my action is already sold to a playing partner.

To clarify on the 40 to 45% ... I thought I would offer markup/premium since I haven't been staked before... if you buy 5% then you'd get 5 *.45/.40 = .05625% of the cashout... so you're getting a premium. I'm not sure if that's the proper terminology, sorry!

It looks like it's customary to post these a little closer to the start of the tournaments. These are still 7 weeks away. I do not need to tie up your money yet and am happy to wait to require payment until we're a month or so out. Just post a note to reserve % and I'll contact you when we're closer.

Math was slightly off ... 3 * $365 = $1825

Stake:
40%: $730.00 - pays out 45% of cashout/winnings
20%: $365.00 - pays out .2*.45/.4 = 22.50% of cashout/winnings
10%: $182.50 - pays out .1*.45/.4 = 11.25% of cashout/winnings
5%: $91.25 - pays out .05 * .45/.4 = 5.625% of cashout/winnings

Also, the $5k rule is per tourney. If I win $4500 in each one I can settle without tax info.

I'll res 20% if you can provide the following things:

1) Proof of tournament entry
2) Venmo as payment option
3) Twitter updates during breaks

Yup. I will get Venmo set up as well as provide Twitter info updates. And I'll register as soon as possible but they might not have that stuff set up until pretty close to the tournament. I'll check it out.

(And on a high note; upgrade the online graph +$500 after a nice PLO8 MTT 3rd place win last night. Is it just me or are all forms of low/mid-stakes Omaha MTTs incredibly soft online? I might just be running well.)

Not gonna change the post I'm OK giving weighting my first time asking for stakes... and I could easily bust for nothing in only five tournies. Next time I'll probably ask 1:1.

Only minor thing to add is that depending on if I make any day 2s or the perceived difficulty of an event the schedule may shift slightly between the 365s. Like I may shift event 4 to event 11... weekend fields are generally softer. Will fire all five bullets into the 365s, though (with proof of registration). If for some reason any are unused they will be refunded.

And I suggest (for your sake), that you do not sell more than 50%. Since you are selling at a premium if you end up selling say 90% of the prizes for 80% of the buyins that would make it much more difficult for you to make profit yourself. And we want you to make money for yourself too.

So this hand (actually) happened...

During the 5:00 flight I chipped up to about 40k (starting 10k) and there was an hour left in day 1... blinds are 800/1600.

Table folds around... just me in the blinds (SB).
Hero - SB - 42k - QcJd min-raise-ish to 4k.
Vilian - BB - ~50k - Middle aged woman playing TAG calls the extra 2200.

Flop 8c9c10d. Gin! We flop the nutter butter. Since there were clubs out there and the whole table was flush draw happy all night I lead out a smallish 4.5k bet.

She asks for a count of my chips then quickly jams 40k into a pot of 14k (wtf LOL?). Obviously I snap it and she turns up Ace 10 off suit (even more WTF... I guess I could see a set jamming? But this was just stupid.). She didn't even have a backdoor club draw with the ace.

She jammed 3x pot with top/top into the nut straight and hit runner runner for a boat for an 80k pot. Cardplayer has it at 2.8% chance she wins the pot. I don't normally complain about bad beats but this one was pretty WTF due to how badly she played it and the insane low odds that I would actually lose.

I would have been around 30th/80th in chips going into day 2, near lock to cash at least. Totally sucks.

Taking a couple days off and going back on Tuesday/Wednesday to play the 6-max, monster, and OH8 limit. Hopefully I can make a day 2 in one of those.

Could you please post an update on which events you ended up playing and the final breakdown as well as receipts for the events? Thanks!

2 bullets to Event #3 and Events 6/7/8. Receipts for 4 of them above... will post OH8 receipt ASAP.

Sorry for the no-cashes guys... it was a frustrating week. Chipped up to 2-4 starting stacks in every entry and could not make a mid-tourney push in any of them. That 3% beat noted above for a big stack kind of exemplified the week.

It's not usually the full story that the very last hand that made the difference (and I'm going to post some spots in the hand forums that I think I may have played sub-optimally)... but I did take beats or lost "ahead' flips in every entry to get ko'd. QQ<A7 pre, 66<Q7 pre, AQ<KJ pre and getting 40k in with the nuts on the hand noted above.

The limit OH8 one was a bummer bc the table was terrible. I played 10-20 limit OH8 every day between/after events and made quite a bit on the cash tables... cards just didn't cooperate in the tourney.

If you did not use the Event 5 bullet, do you want to use it for one of the last 2 365's on Saturday or Sunday?
