SuperContest Gold
Good afternoon. My name is Barry McFadden and my partner and I are offering shares in our entry in the new $5,000, winner take all SuperContest Gold NFL Football handicapping contest at the Westgate Las Vegas. I am an attorney and former in house general counsel for one of the largest casino operators in the country. My partner and I both reside in Houston.

Here is some general information on the contest

Our Track Record
In 2015, our entry "Fade Material" finished in third place out of over 1700 entries and won $181,335. Going into the final week, we were the only team that could catch the eventual champion, as detailed in the ESPN article below. We posted a record of 56-28-1 (66.7%) and would have won over $362,000 had GB not choked in the regular season finale. Our second entry, "Sharply Square" finished in 33rd place (for about $8,000) and was also victimized out of a top 10 finish by GB. If you review our Twitter account (@fadematerial), you will see that we have hit in excess of 60% of our posted plays (which we never charge for - we aren't touts). Last year, we (along with most seasoned handicappers) had a down year and did not finish in the money.

Why Invest
We feel that we are definitely +EV in this inaugural winner take all event, but given that it is winner take all, and the fact that we have $5,000 in entry fees for the regular SuperContest and the Friday Football Showdown (at the Golden Nugget), we are offering shares to reduce variance. Unlike the regular SuperContest (which has an 8% rake), there is no rake in SuperContest Gold and all entry fees are paid back to the winner. There will be some significant dead square money in this event.

Prior Stakes
Prior to black Friday, I have sold quite a few shares in poker tournaments. I have also competed in a number of WSOP events (including the Main Event last year) and have decent history of live cashes. We use a proxy service to enter our picks, @FootballContest, and they will certainly vouch for our credibility if needed.

The Details

The total entry fee is $5,000 plus a $200 proxy fee (because we live outside of Nevada) for a total of $5,200. We will cover 100% of the proxy fee.

We are offering shares for up to 80% of the entry. Min 60% to go, although we may still enter if it is close..

2% = $130 (1.3x)
5% = $305.00 (1.22x)
10% = $550.00 (1.1x)
25% = $1,312.50 (1.05x)
50% or more = $2,500 (no m/u).

Funds may be paid in Vegas when we sign up (likely mid to late August), by check or PayPal.

You are responsible for any taxes on the winnings.

We are permitted to "chop" or "cut a deal" if one makes sense going into the final week if it makes financial sense.

This stake is only for SuperContest Gold. It does not include any stake in our regular SuperContest or Froday Football Showdown entries.

We may offer shares through other sites or platforms, such as YouStake.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Payments will be due in August one week before I go (unless you are providing cash in Vegas). Will post a week in advance of when due.

Going to sign up for contests on 7-28. If we end up getting enough interest, funds will be due prior that date. Thanks!

Sounds like a straight investment, and no control or input in the picks?
