More Info

Last year I sold a package for two events at this series (the $1100 accumulator and $10k main) and cashed both, finishing 12th in the accumulator and 27th in the main for roughly a +100% ROI for investors.

This year, we have nine bullets over seven bracelet events including the main.

This includes three bullets for the accumulator and one bullet each for the remaining six events, so action will be first bullet only, although I don't intend to fire multiple bullets in any other events at this stage. If there is interest in selling additional bullets to be used at my discretion we can add that to the package later and people can buy for second bullets.

I am selling up to maximum of 50%. The remaining 50% will be held by me personally as I own dime all of my own share of the action for live events.

The main event will be full of Aussie live fish and satellite qualifiers and should get a field of between 300-700 players, so there should be significant value in the field especially with it being the first WSOP Main Event tournament held in Australia. ANZPT Melbourne recently had a record field size of 500+ and the WSOP APAC main last year got 405 runners, although with the improved schedule and live satellites this year i'd expect it to be more like 500 this year.

The $1100 accumulator event will get a very large field (500+ entrants at least, was over 1000 entries last year and should be again) and will be very soft with casual players taking a shot as it is the first WSOP Bracelet event of the year on Australian soil and Crown will be running satellites so all of the local live casual players will satellite in. If I make day 2 on more than one of my three entries, the stacks will be combined for Day 2 as it is an accumulator event.

The rest of the events are pretty much unknown but I think field sizes/strengths will be comparable to Aussie Millions equivalent events with non-NLHE events in the 100-280 range and NLHE events in the 150-500 range for the most part. I've final tabled 5 Aussie Millions prelims in the last 5 years and came close in two APAC events last year, plus I have a lot of experience playing at Crown so I feel like it's a very good spot.

The first event in the package is on 2 October 2014 and the package concludes by 18 October 2014. All shares will need to be paid for before the first event for you to have action. All shares and refunds will be paid out upon completion of the final event in the package. I will collect funds in late September, so please post a reserve in thread but do not send funds at this stage.

Payouts

There are no taxes on poker winnings in Australia so you will receive your share of all cashes/refunds in full via your choice of payout method upon completion of the package.

If you choose any payment method other than PokerStars transfer or cash in Melbourne (moneybookers, bankwire, paypal etc.) that is fine but you will cover any fees for the transactions.

In the event that I do not play any event due to being deep in another event or some other reason, all investor funds for that event will be returned along with markup

Taxes and verification

There are no taxes on poker winnings in Australia and all cashes and/or refunds will be paid in full upon completion of the package.

For verification that I have played a particular event, any investor is welcome to ask me to upload a picture of my entry (or re-entry) receipt for a tournament and I will do so immediately. I will ensure that Pokernews/PokerAsiaPacific tracks my chip count in any case, and chip counts will also be on Twitter @SwoopAE

How to buy shares

Post your reserve in thread and i'll confirm it. I will specify a date prior to the first event that you will send by, likely in the last week of September.

Cash in Melbourne and Stars transfers are preferred methods of payment although i'm willing to accept other forms of payment as well if you are willing to cover any fees involved both getting the money to me and for me to get the money back to you. Same deal with any cashes, you can collect the money in person or receive a stars transfer from me or I can pay you via paypal/bankwire/moneybookers although if it involves any fees, the fees will come out of your end if you wish to collect the funds via any method other than Pokerstars transfer or cash in Melbourne.

I've sold lots of action on 2+2 and other forums over several packages including cashing for over 100k total. All investors paid with no hassles. I've also paid out 100k+ to my backers over the years.

@snail/anyone else, thoughts on what my ROI would be in each if I play any of the three events not listed? (5k 8game, 5k PLO, 25k HR NLHE) - I imagine all 3 will be reggy, but the 2500 HORSE at AM was soft so who knows - I can't imagine the 5k PLO or 25k HR would be worth the variance playing for me (and I may not even be +EV in some of them) but I could be wrong

If I had to guess, i'd be about +5% ROI in the HR, -5 to +20% roi in the 5k 8game (since it depends on how many fish play) and somewhere around breakeven in the 5k PLO. Does that seem close?

Also, if anyone wouldn't mind giving input, which events am I over/underestimating myself in in your opinions when evaluating the MU individually on the tournaments?

Noting up the reserves for sweats, Snail has 30% locked in and first right to buy any additional sweat shares that don't get sold. In a couple weeks or when all sweat shares are sold i'll close off action and sort out collecting payment for shares.

Any of my friends who want a sweat will need to post their reserve before then, up to Snail having a minimum of 30%, and on Sep 22 Snail will have first rights to lock in any additional shares beyond that number should he still want them

Just out of curiosity, would anybody in thread like to give their take on whether i'd be able to sell for the 25k HR if I chose to? I'm very unlikely to consider playing, more curious whether people think i'd be +EV in the field or not. I feel like I would be but only by a smallish margin, a lot depends on field size, the elite regs would have a small edge on me but there are still enough fish in the field that i'm probably +EV overall? If I was selling at face, who would take a share? (i'm not selling for the event, more just curious if I could if I wanted to)

I'd say with decent confidence that it wouldn't sell. From my experience there isn't a huge demand for Australian tourneys for some reason, similar to Macau. Also it's a very large buyin which just puts off investors.
